[Bug 417558] Re: im no expert, but im pretty sure the queen is supposed to be on the same colour of square as herself - the board is the wrong way round(i think)?

Re: [Bug 137239] Re: compiz and metacity should behave the same way
2008/4/26 Thomas Thurman [EMAIL PROTECTED]: This isn't really a bug in Metacity or in Compiz; what you're really asking for is either that Metacity or Compiz should be the exclusive window manager in use or that an enormous effort should be expended on making the UI of each one exactly the same in every little detail. Both of those are far more far-reaching decisions than bugs in any one package. I think that 1) gnome and/or ubuntu folks should define a standard behaviour for _basic and very common_ actions such as a click on the window contour buttons or the ALT+TAB keyboard shortcut. Something like gnome window manager user interaction policy. Thus the user does not have to unlearn its reflexes when he changes its window manager. This policy could be quite sparse, I don't thing it' wise to include every little detail in it. 2) the gnome and/or ubuntu folks should set up the Metacity and Compiz default installation to meet this specification. If some window-manager doesn't meet it = file a bug in ubuntu launchpad or gnome bugzilla for the window-manager package. If Metacity and Compiz are tunable this seems easy (what do you think ?) 3) If Metacity and Compiz are not tunable enough to meet the specification then the upstream developers should fix this = file a bug upstream This may be a lot of work. by the way, I filed this bug to submit the idea, I would perfectly understand if it is marked won't fix ** Attachment added: unnamed http://launchpadlibrarian.net/13928175/unnamed -- compiz and metacity should behave the same way https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/137239 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 65285] Re: Hangs after first-run wizard
Hello, I'm running ekiga 2.0.11-1ubuntu1 on ubuntu gutsy. I've got the following problem : when I start ekiga the first time settings wizard runs automatically. And the wizard hangs at the last page when I clic apply. I'm trying to reproduce this within gdb but in this case the gui never shows up. I have ekiga installed for a long time ago, the fact the 'first time wizard' is run is maybe also a bug. ekiga -d 2 2007/10/14 12:15:34.613 0:01.741ekiga Detected audio plugins: ALSA 2007/10/14 12:15:34.614 0:01.742ekiga Detected video plugins: Picture,V4L,V4L2 2007/10/14 12:15:34.614 0:01.742ekiga Detected audio plugins: ALSA 2007/10/14 12:15:34.614 0:01.742ekiga Detected video plugins: Picture,V4L,V4L2 2007/10/14 12:15:35.509 0:02.637ekiga Detected the following audio input devices: Default,HDA Intel with plugin ALSA 2007/10/14 12:15:35.509 0:02.637ekiga Detected the following audio output devices: Default,HDA Intel with plugin ALSA 2007/10/14 12:15:35.510 0:02.638ekiga Detected the following video input devices: Aucun périphérique trouvé with plugin V4L 2007/10/14 12:15:35.511 0:02.639ekiga Detected the following audio input devices: Default,HDA Intel with plugin ALSA 2007/10/14 12:15:35.512 0:02.640ekiga Detected the following audio output devices: Default,HDA Intel with plugin ALSA 2007/10/14 12:15:35.512 0:02.640ekiga Detected the following video input devices: Aucun périphérique trouvé with plugin V4L 2007/10/14 12:15:36.113 0:03.241ekiga Ekiga version 2.0.11 2007/10/14 12:15:36.113 0:03.241ekiga OPAL version 2.2.11 2007/10/14 12:15:36.113 0:03.241ekiga PWLIB version 1.10.10 2007/10/14 12:15:36.113 0:03.241ekiga GNOME support enabled 2007/10/14 12:15:36.113 0:03.241ekiga Fullscreen support enabled 2007/10/14 12:15:36.113 0:03.241ekiga DBUS support enabled 2007/10/14 12:15:36.120 0:03.248ekiga Set TCP port range to 3:30010 2007/10/14 12:15:36.120 0:03.248ekiga Set RTP port range to 5000:5059 2007/10/14 12:15:36.120 0:03.248ekiga Set UDP port range to 5060:5100 2007/10/14 12:15:37.577 0:04.705ekiga AVAHI Adding service Sébastien Barthélemy ** Attachment added: gdb-ekiga.txt http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9977662/gdb-ekiga.txt -- Hangs after first-run wizard https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/65285 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for ekiga in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

editor is the matlab (r2007b) file editor. It is a java GUI. I tried with metacity, I still have a strange behaviour with that particular window. [Bug 137041] volume is set to zero when changed in fullscreen mode
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem Hello I have a small problem using totem in Ubuntu Gutsy. I use totem-gstreamer version 2.19.90-0ubuntu3. When you click the volume button in window mode, a slider appears, with the cursor position set according to the current volume level. It's ok. In fullscreen mode, when you click the volume button, _the volume is set to zero_ and the slider appears, with the cursor at the bottom of the slider (this is consistent, as the volume level is now zero. But why is this happening ?)
