Sorry guys, same issue here, and it's been bugging me for the past few
days:
Error loading address book.
This address book cannot be opened. This either means that an incorrect URI
was entered, or the server is unreachable.
Detailed error message: Other error
The debug log does not mean much to me but here it is:

/usr/lib/evolution/evolution-data-server-2.26
I removed and added a new Address book of Google type, and when press it I get
the Error loading address book.

Easily reproduced in my system if you need any further logs please let
me know...
I can't open calendars also it is always asking me for the password, debug log
says:
(evolution-data-server-2.26:10864): libecalbackendgoogle-CRITICAL **:
e-cal-backend-google-utils.c:307, Authentication Failed
The strangest thing is that it was working one week ago, this is my
first time with ubuntu, and definitly not a good start... :)
