Public bug reported: When the 'Launcher placement' option is changed from the drop-down list, the display arrangement widget should immediately update to show the launcher representation (the vertical black bar) on the selected display (or on all displays if chosen) Please see the spec for full details: https://docs.google.com/a/canonical.com/document/d/1b3CwE3Wemr347fTxNcu7ixEQBK4YD8JF2pyv5pxiY0U/edit The display arrangement widget does update if you click on one of the displays, so it looks like a refresh issue. ** Affects: ayatana-design Importance: Medium Assignee: Stewart Wilson (stewartw) Status: Triaged ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: multimonitor udp ** Also affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: ayatana-design Status: New = Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/967136 Title: In the Display Settings panel, when changing the 'Launcher placement' option from the drop-down list, the display arrangement widget does not immediately update to reflect the change To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/967136/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 850885] Re: (oneiric) greeter screen displayed incorrectly with external monitor during login
Hi Bryce, As a temporary solution for Precise, can we please blank the framebuffer in the transition between the login session and the user session, where the display resolutions do not match. Going forwards, we will display login screens on each display at their native/last-used resolutions: See related bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/924759 See multi-monitor spec: https://docs.google.com/a/canonical.com/document/d/1aHvJ-iIw-59bXTYBmIhQqEx0za2h9jpFE_RhZ2VOvJc/edit#bookmark=id.48eaevlgunt0 Upon login, it is then planned to use a cross-fade transition between the login session and user session. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/850885 Title: (oneiric) greeter screen displayed incorrectly with external monitor during login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/850885/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
