The workaround proposed by Manu (gnomevfs-ls over the samba share) works for me too.
This is my scenario: - client with ubuntu 8.10 x86 i386, rhythmbox version 0.11.6svn20081008-0ubuntu - samba server ubuntu 8.10 x6_64 The credentials used by rhythmbox are stored in the gnome keyring, properly unlocked.
