[Bug 1727518] Re: Presentation mode broken with HighDPI and 200% scale

2017-11-24 Thread Thomas Krause
This has been fixed by some (recent?) updates to Ubuntu 17.10. I can't
unfortunately tell which one exactly, but the issue is gone.

[Bug 1728223] Re: Mouse cursor visible on both screens in multiple monitor setup

2017-10-28 Thread Thomas Krause
Video of the two moving mouse cursors. The axis seems to be switched,
which could be caused by my rotated secondary screen.

[Bug 1728223] [NEW] Mouse cursor visible on both screens in multiple monitor setup

2017-10-28 Thread Thomas Krause
Public bug reported:

When using two monitors (where the primary is on the right side and the
secondary is attached to the left), I can see two mouse cursors when the
cursor is near the left edge on the primary screen. Only the cursor on
the primary screen can click things, but it is still very confusing.

Also, the second cursor is moving with inverted axis.
Since the screenshot only captures the primary mouse cursor, I took a photo of
the situation.

there any way to reset language support and hope it will work then?

I did a fresh reinstall (without using the old config files) and the
issue was fixed afterwards. Maybe the upgrading to Lucid was causing the
confusion.

[Bug 559894] Re: German spellchecking does not work

2010-04-12 Thread Thomas Krause
It also happens when only German is activated. The words are all correct
(and common enough that the spell checker should know it). Even Test
is highlighted (which was valid in the German and English
configuration).

[Bug 559894] Re: German spellchecking does not work

2010-04-12 Thread Thomas Krause
For curiosity, I changed it to use only Norwegian (Bokmål) and it works.
So this seems not to be a non-English problem but only one with the
German locale. Which spellchecker does Empathy use? I tried hunspell on
the command line for German and it worked without any problems.
