[Bug 377322] Re: my sftp conncection breaks spontaneously after a while, I have to re-login to fix it.
I believe I have this too. Mostly an annoyance. My workaround has been to open a terminal window, do ps aux |grep sftp and then kill the pid for sftp session. Sure do wish it would kill itself once it has expired... -- my sftp conncection breaks spontaneously after a while, I have to re-login to fix it. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/377322 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 558674] Re: Open file dialog malfunctions in lucid
I have experience this as well. I have not done a controlled test yet, but it seems to be related to the number tabs opened in your browser. For instance, if I open a fresh chrome and attach something to be uploaded, it seems to work correctly, but if I use a chrome that was open already and has multiple tabs, then it seems to happen. [Bug 595402] Re: nautilus selects wrong file in open file dialog withing firefox
I believe this bug effects me as well. To test it without extensions, I started firefox in safe mode by running 'firefox -safe-mode' which disables extensions and found the same behavior. I tried epiphany- browser and it did the same thing. Google's chrome browser did not have the problem. One thing I have customized on my system is I added this thing called nautilus elementary from ppa:am-monkeyd/nautilus- elementary-ppa. It does some interesting customizations to nautilus. Maybe something from there has given me this issue. It would take a little time to undo elementary so I have not tried it yet... -- nautilus selects wrong file in open file dialog withing firefox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/595402 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+2.0 in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 334400] Re: epiphany-browser - entering information in address entry box does nothing
I do not have karmic running to test. Probably could do a vm... Anyhow, since I reported this bug, I have moved my system to 8.10 and the bug I described is gone. I had given up on Epiphany due to this bug and now that its gone, I will give it a go again! [Bug 334400] [NEW] epiphany-browser - entering information in address entry box does nothing
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: epiphany-browser Description:Ubuntu 8.04.2 Release:8.04 WM_CLASS(STRING) = epiphany-browser, Epiphany-browser Installed Version = 2.22.2-0ubuntu0.8.04.5 Packages Installed = epiphany-browser, epiphany-browser-data, epiphany-gecko I am using Ubuntu 8.04 with epiphany-browser installed from the normal Ubuntu repositories. When I open the browser, it opens the home page. I can click on links on the home page and the browser works normally. However, if I use the address entry box and hit the enter key or click the go button, nothing happens. So far I have performed a complete removal and then new installation of the software from synaptic, but there was no change. I have also started the browser from terminal to see if any helpful messages are displayed, but none found. I also deleted the epiphany folder from the .gnome2 hidden folder in my home directory. Again, no effect. I would like to use this browser, but without an ability to enter an address, it is pretty much worthless. Let me know if I can provide more information or other diagnostics. [Bug 240312] Re: Firefox crushes after download with Segmentation fault
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 236613 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/236613 Let's keep things straight here. There are two pieces of software out there that, as I understand it, do slightly different things. First, came the prism application. This is software is in the Ubuntu repositories and allows you to set up prism 'webapps' and is standalone from the browser. The second software is a Firefox extension. With this extension, you get a menu item added to firefox's tools menu that allows you to take the webpage you are on and convert it into a prism webapp. Indeed, I have the ubuntu standalone prism package from the repos and it works fine. It is the prism extension installed from, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6665 , that causes the crash. The issue may be related to the fact that the application from the repos is prism 0.8 based and the extension is based (as far as I know) on 0.9. I have not tried to create a new profile to see if the extension works with a new one. Regardless, it is a bug IMHO. -- Firefox crushes after download with Segmentation fault https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/240312 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee (via bug 236613). -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 236613] Re: firefox 3 rc with prism extension crashes when download a file.
creating a new profile does not solve anything for me. if i create a fresh new profile and then add the extension, FF crashes. not having the extension installed gets rid of the problem, but does not get me the functionality that extension was to deliver (namely creating new webapps directly from FF). It is still a valid bug somewhere. I filed a new bug on firefox's bugzilla (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=438698). Perhaps they can solve it there. It got marked as major so someone involved appears to be taking it seriously, which is all a guy can ask. -- firefox 3 rc with prism extension crashes when download a file. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/236613 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 236613] Re: firefox 3 rc with prism extension crashes when download a file.
I have found this same bug in the firefox 3 rc. Uninstalling the prism extension did eliminate the crashing on downloads. However, I am conerned that moving this bug report to invalid is wrong. Prism is a major new feature of this new release of firefox where you are to be able to make webapps out of any website with the prism extension. If the extension is cause crashes it needs to be fixed. Is there a way to create a bug on an extension? Maybe it needs to go into firefox's bug system instead of Ubuntu's... If that is the case I am willing to make the effort. I am hooked on Prism for an number of my apps and looking forward to it moving to 0.9 in the ubuntu repo's. Any idea when that is to happen?? Re: [Bug 117564] Re: Evolution Calendar will not load
Well, I worked around it. I restored it from google which I had been syncing to from evolution with syncevolution. the guy at scheduleworld helped me. I just had to delete the corrupt .ics and restart evolution. It then created a new .ics and i did a one way sync back to evolution. i lost all my meeting connections, but that's not a biggie. The only thing is that we never figured out what corrupted the .ics in the first place... If it happens again, i'll update the bug. [Bug 117564] Re: Evolution Calendar will not load
Sorry, but now I have gotten cool feet to posting my calendar.ics. A little too personal to be posted on a public board forever. Maybe I could email it to one person, but I would rather not post it online for anyone to download. Minimally, here's the thing though that I would like to figure out. The Personal calendar, and the contacts too, cannot be deleted, but now for this calendar won't open. Presumably this is because the calendar.ics is corrupt in some fashion. Would I be able to delete the calendar.ics from the system folder and then have it come back but empty? or if I deleted all the content from the current folder? -- Evolution Calendar will not load https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/117564 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
