[Bug 2023416] [NEW] Cannot import ICS into Exchange calendar
Public bug reported: I am unable to import ICS invitations into my Exchange calendar, even if they are sent by other users in my organization. I get an error dialog box that says: Cannot receive calendar objects: Cannot find user "tt...@nvidia.com" between attendees I can import the ICS into my local calendar, but then when I try to move it to my Exchange calendar, I get a similar error message: Cannot create calendar object: Cannot create meetings organized by other users in an Exchange Web Services calendar. If I open the ICS file on my Windows PC, I can import it into Microsoft Outlook without any problems. [Bug 1878956] [NEW] Shutdown continues even after cancelled by application

[Bug 1875204] Re: .desktop files inside folders on the Desktop cannot be launched

[Bug 1875204] Re: .desktop files inside folders on the Desktop cannot be launched
So I'm confused. You say it's an upstream Gnome issue. The desktop- icons developer says it's a Nautilus issue, since Nautilus handles folders. Issues 158 and 184 imply that Nautilus is not going to implement anything. Everyone is blaming everyone else. So who's really responsible? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1875204 Title: .desktop files inside folders on the Desktop cannot be launched To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1875204/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1875204] Re: .desktop files inside folders on the Desktop cannot be launched
If you're curious, here's the contents of gedit.desktop: [Desktop Entry] Type=Application Terminal=false Name=GEDIT Exec=/usr/bin/gedit Note that when gedit.desktop is located in ~/Desktop, the icon just says "GEDIT" (which is what the "Name" field says above). However, when it's located in ~/Desktop/TEST, it's treated like a normal file and is labeled "gedit.desktop". I just don't understand how Ubuntu could be missing basic GUI features that literally every other operating system has had for decades. What is so controversial about putting desktop icons in folders? There so many things that I can't do with the Desktop: 1) I can't drag/drop files from the desktop to/from other folders. Did you notice that I had use the Copy and Paste context menus to copy the file to the TEST folder? 2) I can't drag/drop files to applications in the launcher. 3) I can't drag/drop files from the Desktop to any open application. The root cause for all these problems is that the Desktop is not treated like any other Nautilus folder. It's its own special, dysfunctional thing. This is in contrast to every other GUI out there.
