[Bug 1512235] [NEW] shutdown -P 23:30 is never scheduled
Public bug reported: Any delayed shutdown command is never scheduled. In addition wall messages are not written. This is introduced with Ubuntu 15.10 Ubuntu 15.04 was fine. I use echo /sbin/poweroff | at 2330 as a work around. ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1512235 Title: shutdown -P 23:30 is never scheduled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1512235/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 726902] Re: [i945gm] Loss of vsync when using Metacity.
Well, I also have the problem in Oneiric. It really drives me nut. I tried every combination of xorg.conf settings but could not get a setting with good results. I'm using no window manager at all! I use the User Defined Session option from lightdm and start XBMC from there. Without xorg.conf I have no tearing (because SwapBuffersWait is the drivers default) but an irregular frame rate. Probably because XBMC cannot sync on the retrace in that configuration. When I add Option SwapbuffersWait false to an /etc/X11/xorg.conf and enable VSync in XBMC I get regular frame rates when watching video but always with tearing. The VSync Intel driver machinery on at least the Intel 945GM (first generation MiniMac) is really screwed up. I'm using an HDMI display, I cannot remember having seen this issue when using analog VGA output. XBMC on the same box using Windows-7 works fine, so it is not a hardware limitation. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/726902 Title: [i945gm] Loss of vsync when using Metacity. [Bug 448835] [NEW] sound fails after upgrade 9.04-9.10beta on samsung nc20
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: yelp Sound works ok when booting 9.10beta from USB-stick. Sound did work on 9.04, but fails after upgrade to 9.10. I do hear the sound when gdm starts, but I hear some clicking in the background on the gnome desktop. Also the speaker symbol does not show anymore in the top panel, so it looks as if it is gnome related.
