[Bug 273294] Re: Rhythmbox can not use smb:// as library location
Hi, OS: Ubuntu Karmic 2.6.31-16-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 8 04:01:29 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux smb share(password protected) mounted with connect to server.. bookmark Today I installed soundconverter and RB started skipping out songs over my smb share. Later I could not listen to music at all because of an access denied error. So I de-installed soundconverter (gstreamer0.10-gnomevfs also was deleted as it is a dependency) and everything is OK. In my case It seems that gstreamer0.10-gnomevfs broke playing over smb shares. Upgrade from Jaunty to Karmic also breaks RB. I can confirm that clean installation of Karmic does not have described issue. -- Rhythmbox can not use smb:// as library location https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/273294 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

The fix provided by Bryce Harrington at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome- screensaver/+bug/71030/comments/3 does not work on 8.04. I can killall gnome-screensaver but I still can't launch gnome-screensaver- preferences. I get the same: The error was 'BadColor (invalid Colormap parameter)'. (Details: serial 254 error_code 12 request_code 1 minor_code 0) I have the same symptoms as he, and an additional one: in nvidia- settings, when I click on OpenGL/GLX Information, nvidia-settings crashes with this error: The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
