[Bug 844241] Re: Backlight not restored when moving the mouse

2022-06-29 Thread Valentas
I have a similar problem in 22.04 Thinkpad 430. After coming back from
standby is at lowest level and I need to increase by using the special
keyboard keys. I did not have it before the upgrade in 18.04.

[Bug 1629355] Re: Bad user experience: Missing "recent documents" in save dialogs

I would much prefer having the "Recently used" folder in "Save"/"Save
as" dialog like in LibreOffice, Inkscape, Gimp.

I got this after some memory-intensive computation (when with a lot of

click mouse 2) click "Paste".

[Bug 1610882] Re: No context menu in VIM in gnome-terminal after upgrade to xenial

2016-08-08 Thread Valentas
I forgot to mention that the present behaviour is that context-menu
simply does not appear on right-click. I can select copy from the top
menu bar, which is not convenient at all.

[Bug 517021] Re: gvfsd-metadata causes 100% CPU usage

2014-11-12 Thread Valentas
When I work with images (generate, copy, move) and use nautilus gvfs-
metadata often hangs Nautilus, so that it is not displaying any files in
a window. Nautilus becomes fine when I kill gvfs-metadata. In my mind
this is one of the most unfortunate recent features of Ubuntu.

[Bug 511179] [NEW] Evince fails to display DVI with an AMS symbol

2010-01-22 Thread Valentas
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

Evince fails to display DVI documents that contain an AMS symbol: in my case
\Box with the message "DVI document has incorrect format". Other viewers
(okular, xdvi) open the dvi file in question fine, conversion to pdf also
works. Evince opens other dvi files without problems. Example of source that
fails:

\documentclass[12pt]{article}
  \usepackage{amsmath}
  \usepackage{amssymb}
\begin{document}
$\Box$
\end{document}

Ubuntu 9.10
evince version: 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2
tetex-base version: 2007.dfsg.2-4ubuntu1

Thanks
