[Bug 1238346] Re: on bootup wrong keyboard layout is recognized

2013-11-13 Thread YoBoY
After a second fresh install I still had this bug. But I also noticed a crash
report for ibus on my first login. So what I have tried who seems to have fixed
this :
 - delete the ~/.config/ibus folder
 - launch from the command line ibus-setup and check the Use system keyboard
layout on the advanced tab.

I don't know which one of these two actions resolved the bug, but so
far, my keyboard layout is the right one. If someone else can try and
confirm that.

[Bug 369652] Re: Thunderbird send to in Ubuntu right-click missing

2009-04-30 Thread YoBoY
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You are right, the send to... menu should indicate the
mail client we use (i use thunderbird too).

I expect to see Email (thunderbird) with the icon on the selection
menu like you.

By the way i tried this function and the results are this tool use the
program selected on your gnome-default-applications-properties to send
the mail. So if you have selected Thunderbird or Mozilla Thunderbird
(why two?) in it this sent to... works but don't have the right name
on the selection.

I change the package beacause is not thunderbird related, but an issue
with nautilus-sendto

Tanks

[Bug 349043] Re: Calculator (gcalctool) is wrong for gradians and radians units

2009-03-26 Thread YoBoY
Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since
this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work,
I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.
Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: gcalctool

Gnome calculator, i.e. gcalctool 5.24.1, presented in Ubuntu 8.10 does
not calculate correctly in gradians (gon) and radians units. In
scientific view, switched on the radio boxes of gradians or radians
- angle units, the calculator does not calculate correctly.
+ angle units, the calculator does not change the unit who stays in
+ degrees.

  For example:
  in Degrees: Sin(90) = 1 (correct)
in Gradians: Sin(100) = 0.984807753 (not correct, must be 1)
+ in Degrees: Sin(100) = 0.984807753
in Radians: Sin(3.141592654/2) = 0.027412134 (not correct, must be 1)
+ in Degrees: Sin(3.141592654/2) = 0.027412134

This is very serious issue especially for surveying engineers and
cartographers who are working with angles on daily basis.

  Additional information:
gcalctool 5.24.1, Ubuntu 8.10 (intrepid), Kernel Linux 2.6.27-11-generic,
GNOME 2.24.1

Thank you for your suggestion. However, the changes you are requesting
aren't really a bug and require more discussion, which should be done on
an appropriate mailing list or forum.
http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community/mailinglists might be a good
start for determining which mailing list to use.

This change is not only concerning the gnome-power-manager, but every
programs who use the AC Power terms.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description
didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How
to report bugs effectively
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!
