[Bug 363326] Re: Brightness control doesn't work on Amilo mini UI 3520

2009-12-08 Thread alszik
About acpi: I tried all the acpi options based on this article:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingACPI

Keys (brigthness up/down, wifi) only working with acpi=off or acpi=ht
options. No other combinations were successful.

[Bug 363326] Re: Brightness control doesn't work on Amilo mini UI 3520

2009-11-04 Thread alszik
mad_man, thank you for your help. I've installed a fresh 9.04 today,
updated to kernel 2.6.30-02063003-generic and xserver-xorg-video-intel
2:2.6.3-0ubuntu9.4, even copied your xorg.conf to /etc/X11, but still no
luck. :(

The only difference, that I have a feedback of the brightness level (in
the upper right corner), when I plug in/out the power cord. Fn keys or
Brightness panel app still not working.

I checked the bios settings, but can't find any relevant option. Any
suggestion?

My Mini is also affected by this bug: no brightness control at all
(except during the boot).

I have the newest 9.10 Karmic Netbook Remix, with 2.6.31-14-generic
kernel xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.9.0-1ubuntu2.
