[Bug 105093] Re: Evolution has Submit Bug Report and Report a Problem menu options under Help
Submit Bug Report doesn't work in default configuration (bug-buddy not installed), while Report a Problem does... very strange for me as unexperienced user -- Evolution has Submit Bug Report and Report a Problem menu options under Help https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/105093 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 340175] [NEW] Replace Evolution with other default client
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Please note that Evolution is completely unusable. I use it as my primary email client for at least 2 years, but now I _had_ to switch to another email client because some totally normal emails made it crash repeatedly (I couldn't even view the emails) and I can't deal with that. Also, I have noticed on many different systems and configurations (including those of my friends, too - so the problems can't be related to some settings that only I do) that Evolution runs completely unstable, i.e. * locks up from time to time, especially when using IMAP mail accounts * loses sent mail from time to time (when using IMAP mail accounts) * crashes when viewing normal emails * address book with LDAP has so many bugs that it is unusable Of course, no software is bug-free and that's absolutely normal. However, Evolution in its current version is just not usable because it has too many CRITICAL bugs. So I suggest to MAKE THUNDERBIRD THE DEFAULT EMAIL CLIENT, which seems to have less bugs (at least, it displayed the emails that made Evolution crash without problems) ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: gnome-desktop (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gnome-desktop (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Replace Evolution with other default client https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/340175 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
