[Bug 1759462] Re: Keyboard shortcuts not operational on 18.04
On a fresh install with just the updates of today 2018-06-06, I have problems with Ctrl-Alt-Fn to switch terminals. It fails being logged in (at virtual console from Ctrl-Alt-F7) and from the login screen (Ctrl- Alt-F1). I thought console terminals had been disabled but ended up reading this bug. >From console terminals (F2 to F6) Ctrl-Alt-Fn keys always work. However, they always fail when Ctrl-Alt-F7 are pressed being in console terminals (from 2 to 5), Ctrl-Alt are kept pressed while releasing F7 and pressing Fn (2 to 5) to go back to console terminals. The same with Ctrl-Alt-F1 for the login screen. I have a usb corded Benq Spanish keyboard. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1759462 Title: Keyboard shortcuts not operational on 18.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1759462/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Public bug reported: 1 down vote favorite I have Ubuntu 17.10 installed on a Dell XPS 15 using Nvidia proprietary drivers (384.98). [Bug 1241101] Re: Java crash in libglib-2.0 after upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10
I have my own RCP application, built with Eclipse Helios, for multiple platforms. The problem happens for me when I test the application build for Linux x86-gtk. Platform: Kubuntu 13.10 (virtualbox machine), JRE: 1.6u45. I get the crash while I use the preference pages and hit the OK button. No .log is found in workspace/.metadata, just the hs_err_pid.log in the app install directory. The Solaris sparc/intel and win32/64 builds of the app work fine in Solaris, and so does the linuxx86_64 when tested on CentOS 6.3. The GTK workaround (System Settings/Application Appearance/GTK/Gtk2 theme Raleigh) works for my application, after a reboot of the VM. But I do not like this as the look and feel is somewhat old fashioned and not in line with the rest of the system. However, and this is my contribution to this discussion, when I run the application from the command line as root, with sudo myapp, the problem disappears (has anybody tried?). I then thought that it may have been caused by some missing file access permissions and temporarily gave full access to the whole workspace directory but the problem reappeared, so it is not connected to permissions on the workspace. Also for me the hs_errxxx.pid point to libgobject-2.0.s0.0+0x16bfe __float128+0x1e -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+2.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1241101 Title: Java crash in libglib-2.0 after upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/eclipse/+bug/1241101/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

I have the same problem in Ubuntu 12.10. I've set up a proxy in my .ssh/config file, it works on the command line but is ignored if I try to use it in nautilus. If I'm not mistaken nautilus uses gvfs as a backend to mount remote filesystem, dunno if gvfs is supposed to read the ssh configuration file at all so this would turn the bug into a feature request. [Bug 1045790] Re: Rendering error on OCAL website
@Jakub I've updated the description with the original SVG and steps to reproduce the errors. Additionally, I've linked to a bug report for rsvg where the developers admit that this display error is due to a bug in the renderer and not the SVG. Therefore, this SVG is not bad. Doing outset and inset doesn't fix the SVG as it modifies the path. For example,. the Ireland map is 2718 nodes. After doing an outset and inset the number of nodes is 273 nodes. [Bug 996473] Re: Status selections in drop down menu do not work
I can reproduce this bug in Precise: I can't set the status to Available from Offline using the MessagingMenu. Funnily enough, changing the status to Away works, then I can switch to any status.
