[Bug 85029] Re: Deskbar applet crashes at startup since I installed libdeskbar-tracker
We are at the end of may and the fix has not been pushed to the repos... Tracker 0.6 seems to take a while too, why wait for 0.6 to be released before fixing the bug ?? -- Deskbar applet crashes at startup since I installed libdeskbar-tracker https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/85029 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is the registrant for deskbar-applet. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 16537] Re: Super shortcuts displayed as Alt?
I was just fiddling with keyboard shotcuts under Feisty and the bug is still there. I have defined Supert as my shortcut to open a terminal in gconf-editor and it is showing as Altt under Keyboard Shorcuts application. The shorcut works well though... -- Super shortcuts displayed as Alt? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/16537 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 85029] Re: Deskbar applet crashes at startup since I installed libdeskbar-tracker
I have just switch from Beagle to Tracker but this bug really is a showstopper. Like someone said above; the bug is fixed in the new svn versions on Gnome side. When will Tracker 0.6 be released ? And can we expect an upgrade, or at least a backport, for Feisty ? -- Deskbar applet crashes at startup since I installed libdeskbar-tracker https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/85029 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is the registrant for deskbar-applet. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 85029] Re: Deskbar applet crashes at startup since I installed libdeskbar-tracker
Just for info, Ralf's workaround seems to work for me. I already rebooted twice and Deskbar is loading just fine (slower than usual though), and Tracker along with it... -- Deskbar applet crashes at startup since I installed libdeskbar-tracker https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/85029 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is the registrant for deskbar-applet. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 93314] Re: Mounted HDD partitions aren't shown on Desktop (Feisty Fawn)
After last system upgrade (Feisty partial upgrade initiated by update-mangaer) my second internal HDD shows up on desktop at each boot. Is this the new normal behaviour for all secondary internal HDDs ? This HDD has ext3 filesystem whereas the other HDD (on which the system is installed) has reiserFS... ** Attachment added: my fstab file http://librarian.launchpad.net/7178367/fstab -- Mounted HDD partitions aren't shown on Desktop (Feisty Fawn) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/93314 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 95329] Re: Rhythmbox doesn't allow horizontal resizing of the window when loaded
Same here, using Gnome and Metacity and couldn't resize the window horizontally. Since a part of the window is not visible (too wide for the screen actually), this shouldbe fix as soon as possible. -- Rhythmbox doesn't allow horizontal resizing of the window when loaded https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/95329 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 62525] Re: Documents folder bookmark double entry
There is no Documents bookmark by default in Ubuntu 6.06. In fact there is not a single bookmark listed by default when you install the system. The unwanted, duplicated bookmark that appears in the Places menu doesn't appear in ~/.gtk-bookmarks though... By the way, the bug's still there in Dapper... -- Documents folder bookmark double entry https://launchpad.net/bugs/62525 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 62525] Re: Documents folder bookmark double entry
I can't see why Documents should be a special place like Desktop. It simply should be a bookmark, whether or not it's there by default, and should magically appears as a duplicate whenever you try to add a Documents bookmark. I'm using a Document (notice the absence of 's') bookmark for the moment, as this one doesn't trigger any bug. -- Documents folder bookmark double entry https://launchpad.net/bugs/62525 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 62525] Re: Documents folder bookmark double entry
To add the bookmark I used the Bookmarks Add bookmark menu option in the nautilus window...nothing fancy I think... I do not see how it could be a feature... I mean that my locale settings are set to english language, so how is it related, in Dapper, to the fact that there's two bookmarks in the Places menu, moreover with a naming inconsistency ?? AFAIK it is a bug... -- Documents folder bookmark double entry https://launchpad.net/bugs/62525 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 62525] Documents folder bookmark double entry
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus When trying to bookmark a folder named Documents, nautilus produces two entries instead of one: one called Documents inside the system Places menu, and the other called Document in the folders bookmarks part of the Places menu. [Bug 22451] Re: g-p-m should display battery status on KEY_BATTERY
Ok, www shortcut works now (on Asus V6 laptop here), but there still is something annoying: Why does the battery's state tooltip always appears when you use the www button ? I mean it launches the browser now, but it also makes that unwanted tooltip to appear (and it doesn't dissapear by itself, you have to close it yourself). Will this be the final behaviour of the www shortcut ? -- g-p-m should display battery status on KEY_BATTERY https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/22451 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 37301] Clock misbehaviour
Public bug reported: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37301 Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: It seems like the gnome panel's clock sometimes have problems to keep the exact time. I use the Europe/Paris time zone, and the clock sometimes jump from the correct time to time +2 hours, back and forth. For instance, yesterday the time displayed was correct, and this morning the clock displays the time with an increase of 2 hours (it was 13 o'clock instead of 11). I tried to use the Synchronize Now button in Time and Date Settings, but it didn't do anything. I was forced to check the Use UTC radio button to adjust the time, but it will a temporary solution (as the time keeps on changing). I checked my bios clock, and it was on time, so the problem is really in Dapper's clock management. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
