[Bug 317819] Re: Evolution shows false unread messages in folder

2011-03-23 Thread bryncoles
I can also confirm this bug. I have two email accounts which evolution
is culling. Both are one is an Imap account, the other an exchange
server. They both periodically give false 'unread messages' counts in
the left hand panel. It seems to happen at random, and can be fixed
(when it occurs) by right clicking a message in the folder and marking
it as 'unread', and then right clicking the folder to mark all as read.

Please advise what you need to take this issue further.

[Bug 741053] [NEW] rename files for windows compatibility removes file extension, breaks windows compatibility.

2011-03-23 Thread bryncoles
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: brasero

When burning data files with long names, Brasero often helpfully asks to
rename them for Microsoft Windows compatibility. I noticed yesterday
however that this sometimes means truncating the file names, such that
the file extension is removed, and Windows therefore doesn't know what
the file type is.

For example, burning an mp3 music file as data. If the file is called
favourite_artist_debut_album_year_of_release_long_song_name.mp3,
brasero will truncate it
tofavourite_artist_debut_album_year_of_release_long_song_name.m.

It would be more useful if brasero could identify what the file
extension is (recognise the .mp3 as the extension for example) and
truncate everything before the last dot.

Steps to reproduce:

Create an mp3 file with a ridiculously long name. Burn as data. Tell
brasero to truncate for windows compatibility. Put in windows computer
(tested with vista). Witness vista not know what's going on.

Let me know if you need more info!

[Bug 154744] Re: When screen is locked, the default language for password entry should be the user's default language

2011-03-23 Thread bryncoles
I recently encountered this bug too. I think rather than the screen-
saver input language being the users default though, it should simply
include a 'switch-language' option, as the login screen does.

on awake form hibernate or suspend.
