[Bug 441153] [NEW] Show icons in menu not enabled by default option does not work correctly
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center I upgraded by computer from 9.04 to 9.10 beta on Friday 2nd October 2009. I noticed a bug with the menus. Some icons were missing on the menu. I discovered that in Appearance Preferences that under the Interface tab, the option called 'Show icons in menu' was unticked. I ticked the box, all the icons appeared on the menu. This is the first bug. This option should be enabled by default. The second bug, is that this option does not work. When it was unticked, most of the menu had icons but some were missing. The entire Applications menu had icons, The Places menu had majority of icons, however 'Connect to Server', 'Search for files' and 'recent documents' did not have icons. Under the System menu, most of the items have icons, but some didn't. If the box is unticked, then all the menus should have no icons, this is not the case, since most still had icons, only a few items didn't have icons.
