[Bug 577193] [NEW] Inappropriate language in Quadrapassel settings

2010-05-07 Thread chewit
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-games

This is very picky, but I do not believe it is a good idea for in a game
that there is Inappropriate language. One of the settings options is to
turn on 'Bastard Mode', is this really a necessary name for a mode. Its
very unprofessional, and families who use Ubuntu will not want to see
this if their children are playing the game.

[Bug 508214] Re: Bastard mode in Quadrapassel should be renamed

My concern is that Ubuntu is trying to aim themselves at the home
market, when you have families using Ubuntu and see Bastard mode in a
game, which children maybe playing, it does not look good at all.

[Bug 483144] [NEW] [Karmic] Playing a certain video crashes Totem

2009-11-15 Thread chewit
Public bug reported:

I am trying to play a video I created from recordmydesktop, its a ogv
file format. I have tried playing other videos in Totem, a mixture of
MEPGs and flv files, they work fine.

I have tried to debug totem when playing the video in question, this is
the out put.

e...@ed-desktop:~$ totem --debug
The program 'totem' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 65 error_code 11 request_code 132 minor_code 19)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

[Bug 441153] [NEW] Show icons in menu not enabled by default option does not work correctly

2009-10-03 Thread chewit
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

I upgraded by computer from 9.04 to 9.10 beta on Friday 2nd October
2009. I noticed a bug with the menus. Some icons were missing on the
menu. I discovered that in Appearance Preferences that under the
Interface tab, the option called 'Show icons in menu' was unticked. I
ticked the box, all the icons appeared on the menu.

This is the first bug. This option should be enabled by default.

The second bug, is that this option does not work. When it was unticked,
most of the menu had icons but some were missing. The entire
Applications menu had icons, The Places menu had majority of icons,
however 'Connect to Server', 'Search for files' and 'recent documents'
did not have icons. Under the System menu, most of the items have
icons, but some didn't.

If the box is unticked, then all the menus should have no icons, this is
not the case, since most still had icons, only a few items didn't have
icons.

[Bug 226493] Re: Unable to activate plugin Jamendo and Unable to activate plugin Magnatune Store

2008-08-29 Thread chewit
I can confirm that this bug does effect Xubuntu 8.04.1 (Xfce 4.4.2).
When you install Rhythmbox from the repos and then start it up. Those
two error messages do appear. This has happen on two machines for me.
Installing libgnomevfs2-extra fixes the problem

playing music off the CD. However, when I listen to music off the CD on
Grip, this issue does not occur. The cd is spinning, but it silent.
