I will try it alpha 2 as soon as I get a cd to try with, I currently have ubuntu installed inside windows, (wubi) if that is of any rellevance to the bug. Sincerly, /Tomas 2009/6/29 Scott Howard showard...@gmail.com Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/. [Bug 393074] [NEW] Can not disable the laptop Lid
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager I have changed lid_ac and lid_battery in gconf-editor (under appsgnome- power-managerbuttons) to nothing. When i press my power button (wich is configured to suspend) or choose suspend from the shutdown menu, the laptop suspends, but if i then close the lid, the laptops wakes up again. Seems that the close lid action is triggering to power on. And I have not found were to disable wake up on lid open under Systempreferencespower management or in gconf-editor. I expect nothing to happen, when I open or close the lid at any time. Problem is I can't enable desktop effects (Compiz) cuz I uos an ATI card.. /Tomas 2007/10/20, sefs [EMAIL PROTECTED]: I realized that when I enabled compiz thur the appearance dialog, they began to work again, even when turning off compiz. So you may have to enable compiz to get them working as they did in 7.04 and then if you don't want compiz enabled turn it off again, and the sticks should continue to work in the way they did in 7.04. -- Sticky notes, not minimizing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/153924 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. -- Tomas Forslund AV-Tekniker Karolinska Institutet Huddinge -- Sticky notes, not minimizing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/153924 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
