[Bug 735940] Re: Trash applet crashes on login
Exact same problem for me. Happened a few times in a row. This is the kind of error a user should never see. TrashAppletFactory? what is that? I'm tempted to click delete on the option box to stop the error from reappearing! ** Attachment added: .xsession-errors https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-applets/+bug/735940/+attachment/2144724/+files/.xsession-errors -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-applets in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/735940 Title: Trash applet crashes on login -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 654305] Re: [Maverick] Empathy cannot connect to GMail account
Yep, same thing for me. I have never been able to log into my google account I just get 'authentication falied', within 1second of starting login attempt. I don't have an @gmail.com account. My google sign-in ID is another email address, but that is how my google account is set up, and I log into iGoogle that way successfully. Happy to provide whatever log files, but please give some idea of how to get 'telepathy-gabble' logs locate gabble | grep log locate telepathy | grep log Don't show me any files that i can read. Googling around telepathy- logger suggests it's a whole api and associated gubbins. All sounds marvelous and structured, and just like a computer scientist would like. But how do I actually get at something where I can, you know, read the logs? I'm using empathy 2.32.1 rant I followed these instructions http://www.ubuntugeek.com/howto-setup-voice-chat-with-google-talk-user- using-empathy.html But now every time I do 'sudo apt-get updates' I get this error: W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net maverick Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 638ABCA0FA3A1271 Great. So yet again I've trawled the web and copied and pasted some forum posts into system files, wasted an hour until I got fed up with the cryptic errors, and it still doesn't work. :( /rant -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/654305 Title: [Maverick] Empathy cannot connect to GMail account -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 368836] Re: gnome-panel freezes upon launching custom launchers
I think I may have this problem on 10.04LTS as well. To be honest, I don't know what 'custom application launchers are', but my gnome panel does freeze every time I start up. The main symptom I see is that the clock stops at whatever the time was when I logged in, but also, the network activity icon seems to be frozen on one of it's swirling images, even though the network is fully connected. Using 'killall gnome-panel' fixes this for me every time, but I have to do it on every boot. My assistive technologies option was disabled, so I enabled it, logged out/in, disabled it, logged out/in, then rebooted. After this, the problem still exists. I removed the ~/.gnome2 and ~/.gnome2_private directories and rebooted; this made no difference either. The desktop clock really is important to me. Having it show the wrong time is an absolute nuisance. Is this the same problem, or do I need to find another bug, or even file a new one? -- gnome-panel freezes upon launching custom launchers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/368836 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
