[Bug 722601] [NEW] Evolution unable to sign mail with cacert

2011-02-21 Thread delijati
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

I imported my cacert and selected it in a email account.

While sending it says Because Peer's certificate issuer has been
marked as not trusted by the user. (-8172) - SMIMEEncKeyPrefs-Attribut
...

With help of dwmw2 #evolution:irc.gimp.org i figured out that i have to install
both root.crt and class3.cert into
~/.pki/nssdb this is only working by hand because evo says there is aready a
cert (i have first deleted the existing)

$ sudo apt-get install libnss3-tools
$ certutil -d sql:$HOME/.pki/nssdb -V -n Root CA ID von CAcert WoT User -u R
certutil: certificate is invalid: Peer's certificate issuer has been marked as
not trusted by the user.
$ certutil -d sql:$HOME/.pki/nssdb -A -t CT,C,C -n CAcert Class 3 Root -
Root CA -i ~/Dropbox/class3.crt
$ certutil -d sql:$HOME/.pki/nssdb -A -t CT,C,C -n CAcert Root - Root CA -i
~/Dropbox/root.crt
$ certutil -d sql:$HOME/.pki/nssdb -V -n Root CA ID von CAcert WoT User -u R
certutil: certificate is valid

Is there another pki file witch is evolution using?
Is the cacert file outdated?

So far it's now working but it should be fixed anyway.
