Yes this is reproducible. Every time i start empathy this happens (in one of my machines). There is no addicional step to do. The image shows exactly what happen, when the mouse pass over the contact the text becomes ilegible. Bilal denying a bug will not make it go away. Empathy has a lot of bugs. In each machine i use it i find different ones. Bilal i'll upload the video tomorrow (the bug happens on my work machine) I'm using gnome shell under precise with nvidia driver (proprietary one). Hi I have this problem too with oneiric and with precise and with 3.3.4 (from rico ppa). The bug is reproducible (now it happens on my two machines). I dont know how its happens but after some time empathy freezes and i cannot open any windows. In my machine this are the steps to reproduce: *Open empathy *Leave it open (some hours) *Try to chat and everything is frozen. * Using Gmail, msn, facebook, jabber and people near functionality. I have this problem too ... I can reproduce this on my two machines. I don't know but appears some kind of conflict beetween the online accounts of google shell and other account created before. Removing the accounts and recreating does not correct the behaviour.
