I don't think it makes any sense to have the pot file in the debdiff, as it 
does not help in fixing the bug reported there. Please fix your debdiff.
Anyway, this is a main package, so subscribing main sponsors, and unsubscribing

I updated my sytem this morning (new version of abiword and of the
kernel), and the error is gone (I've been able to open the pdf).

So I assume that it has been fixed.
