[Bug 431166] Re: karmic gdm restarts X infinitely when video driver fails to load

2009-11-16 Thread hemebond
This bug just had me locked out of my workstation for more than 30
minutes. I couldn't get into recovery mode and I couldn't get to a
terminal (F1-F6). In the end I mashed ESC, got a root prompt before X
started, and managed to type

rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf

quickly enough that when X leapt in it had to create a new config. This
bug is terrible.

[Bug 282023] Re: missing header error when importing

2008-10-15 Thread hemebond
At the suggestion of someone in #f-spot I ran jpeginfo on one of the
images and it was bung. So the biggest issue is how F-Spot handles these
images when compared against other image managers e.g., gThumb. Being
prompted about each image is annoying as heck.

[Bug 282023] [NEW] missing header error when importing

2008-10-11 Thread hemebond
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: f-spot

When trying to import my pictures I start getting an import error saying
missing header, and F-Spot wants me to click cancel or skip on each one.
I do not get these errors with other image managers like gThumb.

** Affects: f-spot (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 80856] Re: F-Spot as default for importing photos

2008-07-21 Thread hemebond
Just my 2 cents; I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 and I've removed F-Spot and
installed gThumb. It's much faster and usable.
