[Bug 34233] Re: g-p-m failing to use DPMS to power off display
I am running Hardy, and I am facing the exact same problem with a desktop system. This monitor used to shutdown/standby for Gutsy, however. Now with or without the screen saver it does not shutdown. Attached is the out of `gnome-power-manager --no-daemon --verbose`. Also below is the result of `xset q`. I can force a standby with `xset force standby` option. DPMS (Energy Star): Standby: 0Suspend: 0Off: 0 DPMS is Enabled Monitor is On ** Attachment added: gnome-power-management --no-daemon --verbose http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12972028/gpm.txt -- g-p-m failing to use DPMS to power off display https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/34233 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 203513] Re: display doesn't go to sleep after today's gnome-power-manager update
I'm using Hardy, same problem here on desktop. Even though I've set display to sleep after 2 minutes, the screen does not go to standby - instead the screensaver continues to display. I've attached my `gnome-power-manager --no-daemon --verbose` results. An extract follows: ... [x11_sync_server_dpms_settings] gpm-dpms.c:130 (06:32:58): Syncing DPMS settings enabled=1 timeouts=0 0 0 [x11_sync_server_dpms_settings] gpm-dpms.c:130 (06:32:58): Syncing DPMS settings enabled=1 timeouts=0 0 0 [gpm_idle_set_check_cpu] gpm-idle.c:236 (06:32:58): Setting the CPU load check to 0 [gpm_manager_init] gpm-manager.c:1782 (06:32:58):creating new inhibit instance [gpm_manager_init] gpm-manager.c:1792 (06:32:58):creating new control instance ... Is it because of the timeouts=0 0 0? Also here's what `xset q` tells about DPMS. DPMS (Energy Star): Standby: 0Suspend: 0Off: 0 DPMS is Enabled Monitor is On ** Attachment added: killall gnome-power-manager gnome-power-manager --no-daemon --verbose http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12972615/gpm.txt -- display doesn't go to sleep after today's gnome-power-manager update https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203513 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 149300] Bug also present on Hardy beta
I am facing the exact same problem on Hardy Heron beta, fully updated so far till 25 March 2008. The left pane shows count, and the right pane doesn't show the results, but the 'next page/previous page' arrows are working just as they should if the files were displayed. This is just as the screenshot posted above by the person who reported the bug. ** Tags added: gutsy hardy -- incomplete or missing search results shown https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149300 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 149300] Re: incomplete or missing search results shown
Could it be because I installed and uninstalled KDE 3 when I had Gutsy? -- incomplete or missing search results shown https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149300 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
