[Bug 62430] Re: rhythmbox doesn't do anything with .pls given on the command line

2011-02-04 Thread imachine
Still broken, fresh 10.10 install as of yesterday, updated, rhythmbox
just fails to start playing anything, not only that, it closes, and it
wiped my previous internet radio list contents.

what gives? ubuntu 32bit.

incidentally, it works @ home, where I too have 10.10 only 64bit and
it's not a fresh install but been upgraded from 9.10 or so.

[Bug 537970] [NEW] Evince does not print images in some pdf files.

2010-03-12 Thread imachine
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

Evince fails to print the image in .pdf file.

It shows up correctly in preview, acroread prints it properly.

To reproduce:

1) Download this here invoice:
http://www.mlink.net.pl/~imachine/faktura_24_2010_12-03-2010.pdf
2) Preview in Evince - company logo is here.
3) Print - company logo is not on paper.

Frustrating, used to work, just stopped at some point, too far back in
time now to find out tho :/

Cheers!

quick work :) I'll wait till 2 drops by mi mirrors and will confirm

will wait for 2, maybe it will too fix another issue, i.e. on this
notebook (geforce 7600, VBI compal EL80) sleeping works but not waking
up. The screen remains blank.

[Bug 346083] Re: gnome-about-me misses fprintd for fingerprint authentication support

2010-02-22 Thread imachine
Just wanted to confirm the software from the ppa runs correctly using an
AuthenTec AES2501, Bus 004 Device 003: ID 08ff:2580 AuthenTec, Inc.
AES2501 Fingerprint Sensor.

Running Lucid updated today.

Two things tho:

1) Fprint_demo doesn't have access to the scanner - needs access to the
correct USB device, in my case it says:

libusb couldn't open USB device /dev/bus/usb/004/003: Permission denied.
libusb requires write access to USB device nodes.

That doesn't matter much tho, since it seems the About me way of doing
things stores the fingerprints elsewhere than fprint-demo, so no
permission fix is needed then.

2) Because of 1), when using the about me method, there is only
enrollment. I think the program should ask at least twice when enrolling
using the About Me method, and try and verify if the two scans match
eachother, and if so, accept the fingerprints.

That is sort of a upstream whishlist question tho:)

[Bug 298565] [NEW] Not so much a bug, rather a feature request

Public bug reported:

So it would be great if Evince could provide the user to make a tag on a

[Bug 290465] [NEW] gnome-panel window list cannot drop on windows if grouped

2008-10-28 Thread imachine
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Whenever you'd set Always group windows or Group windows when space
is limited in gnome-panel's window list applet preferences, and try to
drag and drop something onto a tab of say two grouped evolution windows,
it wouldn't allow you to choose, which window to drop on to, even if
you'd hold the dragged item over the tab for some time.

This seems more like a feature request, so I guess it is upstream - but
since I use ubuntu, you guys would probably know best what to do with
it. Maybe even make a ubuntu patch for it? I'm pretty sure KDE has this
functionality, but ever since most distros moved to KDE4, I lost the
love for it and am stuck with the next best thing - gnome. So while I'm
at it, might just as well suggest improvements :-)
