[Bug 1641417] Re: Ubuntu 16.04 unable to detect/connect to and work properly with iPhone 4.
Hi, #3 is *still* an issue, as I can't access my iPod, which is recognized by the USB subsystem, but file managers in general only seem to access it via gphoto2:// protocol instead of afc:// (which seems to be recognized as a network protocol). Syncing files via Rhythmbox or Banshee isn't possible anymore due to this bug. Entering afc://{devide_uuid} on any file manager allows for accessing the iPod's filesystem and copying the music folder manually, but this is only useful as a music backup procedure. Transferring music *to* the iPod in a way that the device will recognize is impossible, and has been so at least for the past 3 years. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to libimobiledevice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1641417 Title: Ubuntu 16.04 unable to detect/connect to and work properly with iPhone 4. [Bug 1727771] [NEW] When resuming from suspend, user session is closed
Public bug reported: When resuming from suspend, user session is closed. Scenario: I have open applications for work: Chromium, Emacs, etc. I'm using a laptop (ThinkPad T410s). When I close the lid, system goes to suspend. When opening the lid, system resumes. Expected: my user session is active, only locked when resuming; all previously open applications have saved their state, so I can continue working. What happens: my user session is closed, all my previously open applications are closed, I have lost everything that was not saved. I recall having seen a bug report about this same problem back in 2011/2012, and it has not been solved, apparently. The workaround suggested back then was to disable screen lock when suspending, to prevent this from happening when resuming. This is akin to having a problematic door lock, and suggesting leaving your house door open to avoid issues. [Bug 1715188] [NEW] Artist / Album folder names not renamed after correcting ID3 tags (as Banshee does)
Public bug reported: When adding music files, they're stored under folders that follow the original Artist / Album names, and aren't renamed after the new, corrected names. Example: -I add a 10-song album, named "Frop", by "Bob Dobbs", with songs named A, B, C...H, I, and J. -In the ID3 tag, the artist name isn't "Bob Dobbs", but "Dob Bobbs", and the album name "Frop" is misspelled as "Prof". -In the Music Library Folder, songs are stored under folder structure Music/Dob Bobbs/Prof/ -In Rhythmbox, I correct ID3 tags, so artist name is "Bob Dobbs", album name is "Frop". -Expected: directory structure changes from Music/Dob Bobbs/Prof/ to Music/Bob Dobbs/Frop/ -What happens: directory structure is *still* Music/Dob Bobbs/Prof/ In Banshee, this directory structure is renamed after the ID3 tags. Rhythmbox doesn't seem to do this. I want to switch to Rhythmbox because it's still maintained and uses less memory, unlike Banshee. I'm using elementary OS Loki, based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Rhythmox version is 3.4.0. ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1715188 Title: Artist / Album folder names not renamed after correcting ID3 tags (as Banshee does) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/1715188/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
