[Bug 821476] Re: gnome-system-log empty

2011-08-20 Thread iwan
@Kamus,
I do not think it is the bug 807138, because it displays some logs. This bug
says (and I have the same behavior) no logs are displayed.

[Bug 666499] [NEW] Garbled characters being generated by evolution mail when composing mail in plain text with Exchange 2007 and evolution-mapi plugin

2010-10-25 Thread Iwan Mota
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

When trying to compose messages every once in a while (I would say 1 in
every 20 messages) it will send an email with completely garbled text,
oriental symbols and ASCII fill-in boxes for unknown character codes. I
can't quite figure out what triggers it but I've composed quick messages
with 3 characters and long emails (2 pages) with attachments that have
gone out as this garbled text (see attached screenshot).

For the time being I will resort to composing in HTML to see if it makes
a difference but I much rather use the plain text option for its
cleanliness and small footprint.

I also looked at the message source and the garbled text is there too.
