Public bug reported: The problem happens with Document Viewer (evince). When I select the text to highlight from some documents the size covers more than half of the next line and when highlighting it paints everything selected. If there is a way to change the size of the highlight it would fix the problem, but I'm not sure if it exists. Public bug reported: Precondition: the desktop is set to span 2 displays (or maybe more but I only have 2 displays). When the activities overview is invoked (e.g., after pressing the 'windows' key), the area where you see window thumbnails and search results is too short on the primary display. It is OK on the secondary display. The bug occurs if: - Display mode is "Join Displays" - The physical display setup has the primary display under the secondary display. As per the settings/display application, assuming display 1 is set to be the primary display, the bug will occur with the following physical display setup: 2 1 <-- (primary is display 1 and it's the one at the bottom) It doesn't matter which of the two displays is set to be the primary display. If display number 2 is set to be the primary one, and the physical display setup is like this: 1 2 <-- (primary is display 2 and it's the one at the bottom) then the bug also occurs. It's Ubuntu only. I chose disk encryption using the standard install procedure (reason why it's a fresh install rather than an upgrade from 18.04). Would that qualify as "special"? No cosmic-proposed or PPAs or other weirdness. So, it solves the ERROR: connecting to printer but it is not a valid solution as the user is not being notified of actual issues with the printer . Hi @Sebastien: Turning off notifications is not a useful workaround, as a user would still expect a notification that the printing has been ok, and this would provoke the same behaviour this issue is provoking, the users ending a documento to print several times. Evince *should* suport epub. Having a handful of apps, clearly labeled, to handle out-of-the-box all of the most popular content formats is one of the best selling points for Ubuntu in my experience. I read the Ubuntu Brainstorm idea turn down - the approver showed very poor judgement. Okular supports epub because it is expected of it. Evince is already years behind Okular. Gnome bug #328971 is about tags, this one (Gnome bug #556828) about album entries, both reports are open and seem forgotten, probably they wont be fixed upstream in a close future, the attached patch never was accepted in upstream and isn't applicable in ubuntu anymore. I can confirm it, however I believe that the problem must be in the nautilus lack of focus instead of libreoffice, or chrome, I was able to see the same performance with firefox, however coudn't reproduce it with the «software center» .
