[Bug 750700] Re: Unity Compiz plugin captures F10 for menu even when explicitly disabled in gnome-terminal
Alex, why is this being marked Incomplete (what more info do you need t solve this ) and why Wishlist? It's not Wishlist, Unity is interfering with the terminal so function keys are not disabled for menu's even if you tell it to do so, and that's a Bug, it's even a regression because it used to work in Maverick. By the way, I think it's bad practice to bind function keys (without Alt or Ctrl, that is) to desktop environment commands, they should be reserved for applications. [Bug 622025] Re: Opening nautilus takes 20 seconds
Yes, with a new user profile the same thing happens. It seems to be reduced to around 10-15 seconds now. I think you misunderstood, it's not about certain files, it's just when I open any new Nautilus window, i.e. the Home Folder, Desktop, ..., Computer shortcuts on the Places menu or any shortcut (not bookmarks) of a folder I made myself. Once Nautilus is started, it's OK, but even then, when I open another Nautilus window, even one with the same location, it still takes more then 10 seconds before it shows anything. So I can go to Places, Downloads, wait 15 seconds until Nautilus has started up completely, again go to Places, Downloads and again will have to wait 15 seconds. -- Opening nautilus takes 20 seconds https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/622025 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 522202] Re: browsing back to windows share in Nautilus 2.29.90 doesn't work
Open Places, Connect to server... Service type: Windows share, type in name of samba server and share, user name and domain name, make a bookmark. I think it should be a samba share with a lot of folders (mine contained 837). Open Nautilus. Click on the bookmark. Open one of the 837 folders (I opened a folder containing 1077 files). Click the back button. Samba version of regarding server: 3.0.24 I have two samba shares I access regularly, one works sometimes with the back button, the other one (which I have a slower connection to) almost never. Now I just tried again and they both work, only when clicking the back button it takes much longer to show the contents of the root of the share then the first time. So the main bug is that the first time it shows the contents of the share, but when you open a folder and then go back to the root, it doesn't or it takes much more time. [Bug 522202] [NEW] browsing back to windows share in Nautilus 2.29.90 doesn't work
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus When I open a Windows share with a slow connection (with +500 directories) in Nautilus, then open a folder within the share, and subsequently try to go back to the root of the share by pushing the back button, the hourglass (or whatever it is nowadays) stays and nothing happens.
