[Bug 443377] [NEW] Unable to set desktop background among the new images of space in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic

2009-10-05 Thread jova
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

In Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic it is not possible to choose a desktop background
among the included pictures of space in gnome-appearance-properties.
These are organized into one group and the user can flip between them in
thumbnail mode, but only the first one shown can be set as desktop
background (aka wallpaper).

These steps are necessary to reproduce the bug:
1. Open gnome-appearance-properties
2. Flip through the included pictures of space
3. Try to set them as desktop background

Pictures of the effected part are attached below.

[Bug 443377] Re: Unable to select one background image in a slideshow set

2009-10-05 Thread jova
Sebastien Bacher: Thank you for this clarification. It is quite unclear
that those pictures are part of a slideshow set, so maybe a indication
of this in the ui would be a proper way to handle this. Because
otherwise I guess many user will try to enable these wallpapers without
realizing that those are actually a part of a slideshow.
