[Bug 558746] [NEW] Changing from none to normal visual effects crashes gnome-appearance-properties
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center Changing from none to normal visual effects crashes gnome-appearance-properties on Ubuntu Lucid 10.04 when Keep settings is selected. And if none of the buttons Keep settings and Use previous settings are pressed and the countdown times out, both windows becomes gray as seen in the attached screen shot. This bug can be triggered every time the procedure is repeated. Attached below are two screen shot of how it looks when the program freezes. These are organized into one group and the user can flip between them in thumbnail mode, but only the first one shown can be set as desktop background (aka wallpaper). Sebastien Bacher: Thank you for this clarification. It is quite unclear that those pictures are part of a slideshow set, so maybe a indication of this in the ui would be a proper way to handle this.
