[Bug 1802982] Re: GNOME Software keeps logging out of the Ubuntu One account

2021-06-22 Thread Matheus Reich
This issue has been fixed on Ubuntu 21.04, given that an option to sign
in on the Ubuntu One account was removed and now it is only possible to
sign in to the Snap Store account (also Ubuntu One).

** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu)
   Status: Confirmed => Invalid

Here is a screenshot presenting what it happening. I'm loading webpages
and watching a livestream on Twitch, and nothing is showing up on the
Monitor. I have restarted the PC multiple times since I noticed that,
but I think it started happening after the upgrade to Ubuntu 20.04

[Bug 1849884] [NEW] Mouse randomly stops while in Wayland session with GNOME Extensions

2019-10-25 Thread Matheus Reich
Public bug reported:

If I have certain GNOME Extensions enabled in a Wayland or X.Org
session, the mouse or the entire screen freezes for a single frame.
These extensions are CPUFreq and Sensory Perception, both available in
Ubuntu Software. They are use to present certain information to the
user, such as CPU Frequency (also allow to modify the governor) in the
case of CPUFreq, and the temperature detected by many sensors througout
the system (using lm-sensors), in the case of Sensory Perception. When
any one of those extensions updates the information that they present in
Ubuntu's Top Bar, the screen freezes for a frame (in a X.Org session),
or the mouse stutters/freezes in a very inconsistent manner (in a
Wayland session). This has been happening for quite a long time, and I
thought it would have been fixed for GNOME 3.34, which it wasn't. I
don't know if this bug is related to gnome-shell or to some other
package, but I do know that it is very annoying. To avoid those bugs
that I've presented, both extensions have to be disabled, and then
everything works like it should.

[Bug 1845859] [NEW] Control Center not returning to the previous menu as it should

2019-09-29 Thread Matheus Reich
Public bug reported:

When I'm inside the Devices menu, and I enter the "Keyboard Shortcuts"
submenu, there is a problem when I want to return to the previous menu,
which in this case is the Devices menu. When I press the return button,
the left column with the submenus list that is inside Devices takes the
whole screen of the program, instead of presenting the left column on
it's standard size. I don't know if this is a glitch/bug or if it is
intended, but I do find it to be very weird looking. It would be nice if
this was fixed before the release of Ubuntu 19.10.

Steps to reproduce it:
1 - Enter GCC
2 - Go to Devices
3 - Enter Keyboard Shortcuts
4 - Return to the previous menu using the Return Arrow button at the top left
part of the window

What is expected:
It should return to the previous menu inside Devices that you were before
entering the Keyboard Shortcuts submenu.

What happens:
It returns to a blank screen that is only presenting the submenus inside
Devices, without returning to the previous submenu that you were (screenshot
has been added presenting what the issue looks like).

[Bug 1819915] [NEW] s2disk freezes at saving image to disk (hibernation)

2019-03-13 Thread Matheus
Public bug reported:

This started happening after I upgrade to ubuntu 18.04.2. In 18.04.1
hibernation was working flawlessly on my machine. (with kernel 4.15-46!
not a kernel issue then?)

Another thing that got updated recently was nvidia drivers which were
known to cause hibernation issues, but those were on restoring the
snapshot.

http://imgur.com/gallery/jOyHEcL --> I get stuck on this screen after
running hibernate or pm-hibernate. (sys-req REISUB combination works
there and is the only good way to restart I found)

I could find nothing scrolling up on syslog about the hibernation process or
with grep

An interesting Note is that if I run hibernate just after I boot, it works and
resumes perfectly! But after some system usage it randomly has that problem if
I try. The percentage it freezes at is also random, sometimes 0, 1 even 30 once.

[Bug 1805426] Re: Not able to log in into Google Account, aswell as Microsoft account

2018-11-30 Thread Matheus Reich
Ok, i've found that problem I was having had to do with IPv6
connectivity. Usually I disable the IPv6 connection because there are
certain PPAs (archive.ubuntu.com, for example) that for some odd reason,
never load, and they timeout on "sudo apt update". My network provider
has no problem with the IPv6 service, but Ubuntu, usually, cannot load a
PPA through IPv6. Because of that, I only allow IPv4 connectivity to be
active, and that was the issue. It seems that g-i-s and g-c-c only want
to connect via IPv6, even though it was disabled through the g-c-c. I
think that both should first check on how the network is setup up and
then load the webpages as determined by the settings. That is the issue.
I hope it gets fixed.

After I set IPv6 method to "Auto", both g-i-s and g-c-c loaded all log-
in pages without a problem.

[Bug 1805426] Re: Not able to log in into Google Account, aswell as Microsoft account

2018-11-30 Thread Matheus Reich
So, i changed the language to english on my machine, but the same thing
happens, it just won't load the page. And yes, i used the same machine
to run the VM. I'm downloading the 18.10 ISO to install in a VM and see
if it loads there. But this is a interesting situation, because it loads
in a VM (at least in "disco"), but not the real machine. I'm going to
test it on the new 18.10 VM and post any new comments here.

[Bug 1805426] Re: Not able to log in into Google Account, aswell as Microsoft account

2018-11-30 Thread Matheus Reich
I should note that the page does "load", but it takes around 4 to 5
minutes to get anything on the screen. After the wait, when something
shows in the screen, I type my username, and proceed to type my password
it says that an error has ocurred. On the VM ("disco" VM) there is no
wait time, and everything happens without a hitch. I'll test now with
the "cosmic" VM.

[Bug 1805426] Re: Not able to log in into Google Account, aswell as Microsoft account

2018-11-30 Thread Matheus Reich
I`m now running a virtual machine with "disco" and i`ve been able to
connect all of my accounts without a problem. This bug seems to be
affecting mainly "cosmic" (I don't know about "bionic"). So, it seems
like the issue has been fixed on "disco", or my install of "cosmic" has
a problem. But it is interesting that this is affecting some colleagues
of mine, so it looks like the issue is not on my install of "cosmic".

2. Try this as a workaround: edit /etc/gdm3/custom.conf and uncomment

[Bug 1803342] [NEW] GNOME Shell using older Ubuntu 16.04~18.04 icons on 18.10

2018-11-14 Thread Matheus Reich
Public bug reported:

After starting my user session, all icons from pre-installed system
programs, (i.e., System Monitor) are presented using older icons on the
dock, from 16.04~18.04, instead of showing the new 18.10 icons. On
programs lists they have the correct 18.10 icons. Even when opening new
system programs, that are not marked as favorites on the dock, they are
opened with the correct 18.10 icons. This happens at random, I can't
find a precise way to get this bug to happen.

the top left corner. To return to the main page, it is necessary to kill
Ubuntu Software from System Monitor (gnome-software process), and open

[Bug 129935] Removable devices are not being automounted in Gutsy

2007-08-02 Thread Matheus Pacheco de Andrade
Public bug reported:

Some USB removable devices are not automounting as they used to.
Specifically, memory cards (SD and MS) in a generic card reader and a 1GB
Kingston pendrive.
They used to automount normally before (the last I did it was 2 weeks ago).
CDs are automounting normally.

Logs follow, according to the wiki page for Removable Devices.

2007-04-17 Thread Matheus Petronillio Hernandes
The default Ubuntu Human.

Yes.
1. Rename a file to an incompatible joliet file name.
2. Try to burn this file to a CD with nautilus-cd-burner.
3. The burner will notify you that there are file names incompatible to Windows
and will ask you to continue or cancel.
4. Click Cancel

[Bug 103529] gnome-terminal stops receiving input when maximized in feisty

2007-04-05 Thread Matheus Pacheco de Andrade
Public bug reported:

After last update (maybe compiz' one), everytime I set gnome-terminal
maximized, it stops receiving input.
It all goes to normal when I restore it.
Nothing happens when I resize it through window borders.
I am running Ubuntu Feisty, with latest updates (gnome terminal is at
2.18.0-0ubuntu1) and desktop effects (compiz version 1:0.3.6-1ubuntu13) turned
on.
This behaviour only happens with gnome-terminal.
