[Bug 1159492] [NEW] science PDB file is not processed correctly after extraction
Public bug reported: The affected archiv will be attached. When I open the archiv pdb163d.ent.gz with file roller, I get the compressed file shown in file-roller GUI, When I open it within the file-roller GUI with rasmol or jmol all works correct and the protein structure is shown. So, far so good. When I extract the compressed file to the filesystem, close file-roller, because it is no longer needed. When I ttry then to open the file pdb163d.ent with rasmol or jmol it is not possible. The file is not anymore a appopriate format for those programs. [Bug 1094902] [NEW] Airplane switcher spring back immediatelly to Off when it is set to On
Public bug reported: In Systemsettings - Network in the upper lest corner is a switcher called Airplane Mode with the values On and Off. By default on my system it is set to Off. Switching it to On makes that it spring back immediatelly to Off. Right after this the wireless network is disconnect. A second try to set it now to On works. It does not spring back anymore. [Bug 1093832] [NEW] system do not recognize if additional monitor is switched off
Public bug reported: The system do not recognized as far as the mouse pointer is affected that an external monitor(VGA port) is not longer available, because it is switched off/pluged off. The mouse pointer is still leaving the main monitor if the border is reached. Only a additional start of system center - monitors makes the system recognize that there is no longer an additional monitor is available. Following the headline this here might be a dub of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/945378 , but the procedure to archive the crsher is different(they only access the trash folder) and the stacktrace looks only simliar in it's steps. I could not say if it is the same. [Bug 1079165] [NEW] changing the passphrase of the main account does not change the passphrase for sudo
Public bug reported: Changing the phassphrase which was given during installation later with gnome system tools, do only change the phassphrase for login. All other pashphrases like sudo associated with the main account are kept on the installation phassphrase and are not changed. Steps to reproduce: 1.Install xubuntu 2.Give a phassphare1 for the user account during installation. 3.Choose the option ask phassprase on login during installation 4.Start the system after finished installation and login. 5.Use Menu - Settings Manager - Users and Groups 6.Choose your user account. 7. Click change.. for phassphrase. 8.Give a new phasspharse2 for the user account. 9.Finish the session and restart 10.On login screen : Use phassphase2 and see the it work. (o.K so long) 11.call a terminal and sudo(e.g apt-get update) 12.Give phassphrase2 and see that it do not working( that is the error) 13.Give the old phassphrase1 and see that it is still working. Expected: Setting a new phassphrase for the standard user account should also change the phassphare for sudo(both are not distinguished in Ubuntu). No michael, this is not the case. You just has not the permission to access the report that is all. When the original reporter has not set it to puplic a crasher is by default private. I know this is neasty and blocks some progress, but for now and with respect that we have in moment over 2000 open reports for Ubuntu12.10(until now) it is better to keep a dub whenever it is possible as such. I do not have the permission to access the report, too, but a try to close yours as such anyway. This works with a average speed of 10kb/sec, which could be called: It is not working. On opening the fould folder cain-examples with right mouse option in a new nautilus tab the problem occures. When I click on the newly opened tab with left mouse nautilus swithed automatically to /home/user/ and keeps not on cain-example folder(in there). [Bug 1030310] [NEW] evince print function is corrupted
Public bug reported: I have used evince for printing a pdf file. Printing is working, but unfortunally only corrupted, missordered output comes to the paper. To check that it is not cups by itself I have used the print preview function of evince. What evince print preview shows is the same corrupted output that I have also after printing on paper. So, it is a problem with evince by itself. Addtional: I attach a screenshot of the print preview of evince, whith the opended document in evince in background. I also attach the document which is affected by or causes the error. Steps to reproduce: 1.Open the attached document with evince 2.Use File - print - print preview and see the error rendered document in print preview view. 3.Close print preview. 4.Use the print button in the still open print dialog. 5.See that the paper print result is the same as in print preview. The reproduction procedure hits the error to 100%. The pdf rendering on the computer screen by evince is working proper with this document and shows by itself no corruption. It is only the printing rendering. [Bug 1030069] [NEW] totem full screen get frozen picture
Public bug reported: totem get sometimes a frozen video(flash) picture when playing the video in fullscreen mode. Sound is still playing further. The controll elements of totem do not appear when the mouse touches the periperie of the screen. A reliable reproducing procedure I can not give, because it only happens sometimes. Reproducing try: 1.Insert a dvd with flash video content 2.Open nautilus and choose a video 3.double click - Quantal starts totem by default 4.When the video is running switch to fullscreen mode 5.May be you see the issue described above. The compiz seqfault in XsessionErrors.txt is happends after the totem misbehaviour and was independend induced by a known unity dash bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/926658 See this as independend of this report. I was just searching for a terminal to get on apport for reporting.
