[Bug 830320] [NEW] gnome-appearance-properties using 100% cpu

2011-08-20 Thread mono1984
Public bug reported:

Opening appearance dialog (system-preferences-appearance) and gnome-
appearance-properties went to 98% - 100% cpu usage and remained there
until manually killing the proccess. Repeated the action to be sure it
was that and happend every time, except one but circunstances where the
same. Closing the dialog doesn't solve it.

lsb_release -rd:
Description:Ubuntu 10.10
Release:10.10

gnome-control-center:
  Instalados: 1:2.32.0-0ubuntu2
  Candidato: 1:2.32.0-0ubuntu2
  Tabla de versión:
 *** 1:2.32.0-0ubuntu2 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

There are two gnome-appearance-properties processes; one hogging the cpu
and the second sleeping. Closing the window leaves the hogging one
behind (won't end it).

First two times that i opened the appearance dialog, some themes won't
show a preview also. After several theme switching to check if they
worked this stoped happening (for this time at least).

Launching gnome-appearance-properties from a terminal outputs this:

(gnome-appearance-properties:12149): Gdk-CRITICAL **:
IA__gdk_display_sync: assertion `GDK_IS_DISPLAY (display)' failed

include /usr/share/themes/Ambiance/gtk-2.0/gtkrc

include /home/julio/.gtkrc.mine

Renaming the file stopped the situation from happening so i erased it
for good. :-D

Re: [Bug 706410] Re: Brasero won't end the checksum after burning an ISO

2011-01-23 Thread mono1984
Hi,

the ISO was
   crunchbang-10-20110105-openbox-amd64.iso
altough after canceling the proccess the cd was bootable (live disc) i
didn't check it full.

and lshw lists this info for the recorder:

 *-cdrom
description: DVD-RAM writer
product: DVD RW AD-7581A
vendor: Optiarc
physical id: 0.0.0
bus info: scsi@0:0.0.0
logical name: /dev/cdrom
logical name: /dev/cdrw
logical name: /dev/dvd
logical name: /dev/dvdrw
logical name: /dev/scd0
logical name: /dev/sr0
version: BH05
capabilities: removable audio cd-r cd-rw dvd dvd-r dvd-ram
configuration: ansiversion=5 status=nodisc

Something fun is that eject on the cli has never quited working nor
complaining :)
If further info is of help, i'll be glad to provide it out.

I am not able to reproduce the bug. It'll be very helpful if you please
mention which ISO file you were trying to burn. Till than I am marking this
 bug incomplete.
 Thank you.

[Bug 204105] Re: Duplicated dictionary source name in preference.

2009-09-29 Thread mono1984
Well it still happends, opened gnome-dictionary as a normal user then go
to edit menu and preferences, on the source tab double clic a source
(for me was Diccionario de español) and then close the source
properties window without changing anything. The named source will
appear twice on the sources list, both selected and it won't let me
erase one of them (nor one or the other). Also if gnome-dictionary is
launched as root, wich i thought would give me the power to delete one
source, the double source won't appear.

If you have any special need of extra info feel free to contact me, i
would provide what i can. Just at this moment can't figure out what else
could be of use.

Thanks for the time.
