I cannot understand this reason : Qalculate isn't more hard to use neither more complicated than gcalctool, so why don't just make it the default calculator ?? It is more powerfull, yes, but it is also very simple and basic at the same time ! Gcalctool is completely useless, even as a simple calculator ! If you need to make a computation with more than 2 operands, you are sure to make an irreversible mistake and then to have to restard the computation again ! Really can't understand this point of view... Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gcalctool The default calculator gcalctool of ubuntu is simply useless: no history, you cannot see the computation you are currently doing, when you make a mistake you have to fully type the computation again, no pre- defined functions for equations resolution, derivations and so on ; well, simply nothing in fact... This calculator is worse than any pocket calculator you can buy 1$ at the supermarket... Then, what about replacing this useless calculator by Qalculate!, which is simply awesome and though quite simple to use ?
