[Bug 1673230] Re: No power indicator for Logitech MX Anywhere 2 wireless mouse

2019-01-14 Thread rjb
Hi Sebastien

Meanwhile I use 18.04 LTS where the problem is solved.
Therefore I have no possibility to provide you with this information.
However, I see that somebody else is affected by the same bug - possibly that
person can provide the required information.

[Bug 1673230] [NEW] No power indicator for Logitech MX Anywhere 2 wireless mouse

2017-03-15 Thread rjb
Public bug reported:

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System ->
About Ubuntu
Description:Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy pkgname' or

I would expect to have a battery symbol in the top right corner for the mouse

[Bug 1606319] Re: Nautilus executing "folder up" command subsequently inside NFS mounted folders

2016-10-24 Thread rjb
I'm surprised nobody else got this problem with nautilus automatically browsing
back inside NFS mounted folders?
I just checked today with current nautilus 1:3.18.4.is.3.14.3-0ubuntu5 and I
still can reproduce the problem.

[Bug 1606319] [NEW] Nautilus executing "folder up" command subsequently inside NFS mounted folders

2016-07-25 Thread rjb
Public bug reported:

I've got automounted several NFS folders using this kind of command in fstab:
192.168.1.10:/Pictures/mnt/Pictures nfs
noauto,x-systemd.automount,x-systemd.device-timeout=10,x-systemd.idle-timeout=1min
 0 0

These mounts are linked to the default home folders using this kind of command:
ln -s /mnt/Pictures/ /home/my_pc/

If I browse into a folder which is physically there (e.g. "Downloads"),
everything is fine.
If I browse into one of the mounted/linked folders, nautilus navigates
subsequently back to the home folder. It navigates in the tree up folder by
folder in about one folder per minute. I can even minimize the Nautilus window
and do something else and when I open the window again it made several steps
back. Therefore any strange commands coming from input devices can be excluded.

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System ->
About Ubuntu
Description:Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS
Release:16.04

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy pkgname' or
by checking in Software Center
nautilus:
  Installiert: 1:3.18.4.is.3.14.3-0ubuntu4
  Installationskandidat: 1:3.18.4.is.3.14.3-0ubuntu4
  Versionstabelle:

500 http://ch.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) What you expected to happen
nothing should happen

4) What happened instead
Nautilus subsequently browses back to the home folder if you navigated into a
folder that is mounted by NFS.

[Bug 1237355] Re: Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse needs to be repaired

At least in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, while pairing the mouse, you can set a
fixed PIN () instead of automatic PIN mode.

[Bug 1237355] Re: Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse needs to be repaired

2014-05-11 Thread rjb
I can actually switch the channel and switch back and it's connected again. But
when it's paired on channel 1 with Ubuntu 14.04 and I boot to Windows 7 and go
to pair it for channel 2 then boot again to Ubuntu and switch to channel 1 the
mouse LED is blinking fast (meaning it's in pairing mode again).
This also happens when I pair Windows first and Ubuntu afterwards, then the
channel for Windows is blinking.
So for some reason the mouse always loses the first paring?

Ayberk: Is this the behaviour you describe with the channel switch?

OK thanks.
As for the occasional continuous keypressses, I'm getting them too.
So far it was always a sequence of '^^'
I was able to stop this by hitting the backspace button.

[Bug 667399] [NEW] Accessing network shares with guest access doesn't work

2010-10-27 Thread rjb
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

1. Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat), upgraded from Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx)
2. 2.32.0-0ubuntu1
3. I expected to be able to access network shares with another Ubuntu computer
after enabling sharing for a folder with guest access.
4. Finding the computer in the network works. Accessing the previously shared
folder doesn't (Mounting not possible).

If you disable guest access, it will work fine. If you enable it, it
won't. This can be reproduced at least on any clean 10.04 or 9.10
installation or an 10.04 installation upgraded to 10.10 and without
making any manual changes to the samba configuration.
