Unfortunately, not really, because I have no more re-sizing to do. Although I may be able to re-simulate same, I dare not wish to take the risk experimenting - I dare not block myself out for next couple of months due to other pressures.
10.10 certainly does not seem to have any of the quirks of previous versions. My only difficulty not yet figured is why my external disk has changed the ownership to root. I know (again) I have been trying to check all possibilities of 'Mount' etc, I also have Kubuntu installed (as a backup in case I screw up) and access is possible via that route. No doubt I shall sort it. Many years ago, I used to test all the old style mechanical calculators & accounting M/cs and other office equipment for Boots the Chemists (which dates me somewhat).
