[Bug 1070377] Re: Empathy change to Online Accounts no longer supports SIPE
That is a shame. It means those of us who work at home don't have a well-integrated SIPE solution with newer versions of Ubuntu. It's hard to argue for switching to Linux desktops when they don't provide access to required work IM solutions. For the record, Empathy supported the pidgin SIPE plugin in the past, because I personally used it for at least a year before upgrading to Quantal. So if it is no longer supported, then the functionality was removed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1070377 Title: Empathy change to Online Accounts no longer supports SIPE To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/telepathy-haze/+bug/1070377/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1070377] [NEW] Empathy change to Online Accounts no longer supports SIPE
Public bug reported: Many of us use SIPE as way a way to use Microsoft Communicator/Lync in order to IM with workplaces. Empathy used to allow for SIPE connections through the pidgin-sipe package but since I switched to 12.10 and online accounts functionality, I can no longer find a way to do so. While I can still use SIPE in pidgin, pidgin no longer integrates into the Unity notification system. In either case, it means that I no longer get notifications when people at work IM me. As such, the new version of Ubuntu has greatly diminished my ability to use Linux at my workplace. A way to use SIPE (or any previously supported account type not supported by Online Accounts) in Empathy -- even if it requires a non-- pretty command line/config change -- would be very welcome. [Bug 637702] Re: Prompted to unlock keyring twice on log in
I've only got a login keyring as well and I get asked to enter my password three to four times each time the machine starts. I'm using the auto-login function. It's making me crazy. [Bug 508632] Re: [FFe] Toggle button for Nautilus location field gone
To Graham: The help must be out of date. The toggle button is gone now. I too find this annoying, especially when copying and pasting paths which is the bulk of my usage for switching to the location bar. I prefer the easy to use buttons for normal usage. I would suggest that instead of a always use location gconf setting (or in addition to it) that there also be a replace location toggle button. That way, it won't clutter up the screen for those that don't care about it but will be there for those of us that do. For those needing ways to get the location bar back, I've found two. Use Ctrl-L or you can also use your mouse to Go-Location. It's one extra step for the mouse but at least you don't have to remove your hand from the mouse to do it. -- [FFe] Toggle button for Nautilus location field gone https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/508632 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 371293] Re: Rearranging Items Causes Duplicates
I discovered this when I organised my menus into logical categories instead of the menus been monolithic. To reproduce try the following; Create a new menu called Multimedia in System Preferences Then copy over the following items from within Preferences into the new Multimedia menu; Sound Volume Control Multimedia Systems Selector Once these have taken effect the same items should then appear in the Applications Other menu This also impacts in the Open With context menu, by duplicating entries for apps that can be used to open file MIME types. -- Rearranging Items Causes Duplicates https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371293 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to alacarte in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
