[Bug 1181666] Re: gnome-shell randomly blocks mouse clicks from working in app windows

2018-10-24 Thread stian
> On that note, everyone please UNLOAD ALL YOUR EXTENSIONS and verify
this bug still happens without any. If you then find it was caused by a
particular extension, please list it here.

It seems to be caused by the windows-alt-tab extension here.

I've been able to reproduce it if I have more than one application open,
and press the META (Win key) + backtick shortcut that is normally bound
to switch application window - but only if I have the windows-alt-tab
extension loaded.

The following error shows up in syslog when pressing the key combination
and the extension is loaded:

Oct 24 09:18:12 sxps gnome-shell[1888]: JS WARNING:
[/home/stian/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/windows-alt-...@tglman.org/extension.js

The workaround if I accidentally press the combination is logging out
and logging in again.

Subject: Thank you sir.

In rotation battle's boss (the battle chatelaine girl), I had
successfully King's Shielded a Cobalion's Iron Head, causing it to
be weak as fuck. Now, I really wanted to set up Swords Dance since
Terrakion and Virizion couldn't really hit me hard, but Cobalion stays
in and Iron Heads me, flinching me. This continues for 5 turns, and
then it just stops after that.

Tell me what type of battle you're trying to get a trophy for, I'll
give you a tip or two.

Usually there's a counter to the hacks on every battle course.

First of all im a Muslim and ive been living in Germany for 18 years
now. I don't really blame the people for protesting. the blame is
on the media like BILD or other "newssources" just straight up lying
about a lot of stuff that is in relation to Islam. Companies like the
axel springer Verlag have a history of being anti Islam. And the
whole crap about crime rates and shit. It's the same in every single
country. The lower the income the more crimes will be committed. And
I have to say it's getting worse and worse living with racism here
in Germany. I had to search for a house for over 6 months even
though my German is perfect, I don't have an accent, a job and no
conflicts with the law whatsoever. And people saying it's not racism..
That's bullshit. The Nazi thrive in protests like these and I fear
that I have to someday leave the country I love.

 Title:
Keyboard language layout changes after reboot

Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

 Bug description:
When installing Precise, I chose English as language for menus etc,
but Norwegian keyboard layout. When installation was completed and
system booted up, I still had the English generic keyboard layout,
even though I chose Norwegian during setup.

I had a similar experience in Oneiric, but I found a bypass there
where I added English keyboard layout after first boot, removed
Norwegian, re-added Norwegian and set Norwegian to default. It then
stuck, but it doesn't in Precise.

After each and every reboot, the system reverts to the English generic
layout. To bring up my desired default, I have to run dpkg-reconfigure
keyboard-configuration. My Norwegian keyboard layout will then be
  active until next reboot.

I might also add the the keyboard icon shows no (Norwegian) when
logging in, even though it's English, and when logged in the keyboard
icon shows en, even though the layout has been reconfigured to no.

Think this is my first bug report, so let me know if I should add
  anything.

[Bug 160311] Re: Resizing windows by grabbing window borders is difficult [please no more comments; patches welcome]

2010-10-13 Thread Stian Soiland-Reyes
Kate - how is This can be mitigated by switching to the Dust or Clear
Looks theme a fix? If I install Ubuntu 10.10 on a new machine, the
default theme is still Ambience with 1 px borders. Are users required
to just *know* that they need to change a theme to be able to resize
windows? No other operating system seems to have this requirement. Fix
or change the default theme.

[Bug 427100] Re: JPEG2000 thumbnail causes browser to crash

2010-04-30 Thread Stian Soiland-Reyes
Also occurs in 10.04, using http://www.fnordware.com/j2k/relax.jp2
downloaded from http://www.fnordware.com/j2k/jp2samples.html

gdb does not give any stack trace, but ~/.xsession-errors says:

[Bug 427100] Re: JPEG2000 thumbnail causes browser to crash

2010-04-30 Thread Stian Soiland-Reyes
My error message matches the one in #475488 - for a bit of extra fun,
use a browser like Chromium who prefers to save downloads to ~/Desktop,
this will cause Nautilus to go in an infinite loop, blanking and
restarting the desktop.

Perhaps assertion failures in jp2_decode should just give a blank
preview instead of crashing the file browser. If you rename to .jpeg the
problem persists, but rename to .txt or disable previews and everything
is fine again.

[Bug 227408] [NEW] Link colors are not affected by style properties

2008-05-06 Thread Stian Rødven Eide
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-themes

Setting style properties for link-color in gtkrc (as exemplified by the
HighContrastInverse theme from gnome-accessibility-themes) does not
alter the color of links in Gnome-applications like Liferea and
Evolution.

Switching to HighContrastInverse does also not affect link colors.

Here are the relevant style properties from
/usr/share/themes/HighContrastInverse/gtk-2.0/gtkrc

GtkWidget::link-color = #FF
GtkWidget::visited-link-color = #FFCCFF

I use an up-to-date 64 bit Hardy, but suspect the same issue applies to
other architectures.

[Bug 41117] Re: Controls do not disappear completely in fullscreen

Also confirming, using feisty with NVIDIA drivers.

If this can't be fixed, I suggest setting the default video application
to one of the functional ones instead of Totem.

[Bug 54779] Re: Keyring password

2006-09-30 Thread Stian Jordet
Would be awesome to get libpam-keyring included in edgy... Would save a
lot of unneeded and (IMHO) stupid password-typing. It's just very weird
to have to enter the password three times (in my case) when you login.

Indeed, disabling Exchange plugin works :) Then I can just disable it when I
want to add an addressbook, and re-enable it after :)

Cool.

[Bug 20994] Re: GDM login hangs when using ldap

2006-04-18 Thread Stian Jordet
Ohh, I had totally forgot about this bug. As you can see in the upstream
bugreport, I found a workaround for this bug. And now, with Dapper, I
can't even reproduce it at all. So at least for me, this bug can be
closed :) Sorry for not telling about it earlier.

[Bug 30256] hal makes tons of scsi bus resets

2006-03-29 Thread Stian Jordet
Public bug report changed:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/30256

Comment:
Sorry, I had forgot about this bug. This bug was fixed by a new hal upload some
days after I filed the bug. Probably by 0.5.6-4ubuntu1 the 14th of February.

Unknown if the continous bus resets were the cause, but my scsi cd-writer is
now dead. But the scsi dvd-rom seems to be working ok :)

So this bug can be closed now.

[Bug 30256] hal makes tons of scsi bus resets

2006-02-01 Thread Stian Jordet
Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/30256

Affects: hal (Ubuntu)
   Severity: Normal
   Priority: (none set)
 Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
I upgraded to Dapper (from Breezy) before christmas, but I think this
problem came later than that. Anyway, the scsi bus with my optical
drives are reset constantly, which makes it unusable for anything :(

I found this on google:

http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/hal/2005-December/004149.html

he seems to have the same problem, but noone responded to him. If I stop
hal, the resets stops.

Please help.

Best regards,
Stian

Hmm. I have the same problem, and I also have a zip-drive. Seems like
Lauren have one as well, but Eric don't, so it might or might not be the
a cause. Weird, though.
