[Bug 1861247] [NEW] Evince: Wrong font and wrong line height in PDF view

2020-01-28 Thread suokunlong
Public bug reported:

The attached pdf file is generated using Spyder 4, a Python IDE. The
file contains embeded fonts UbuntuMono Regular and UbuntuMono Bold.

When open with Evince, it seems using wrong font, and the line height is
not correct. The file looks OK when open with other PDF viewer such as
Firefox.

[Bug 1750336] Re: Unable to login when using Nvdia-340.104 driver ("password is incorrect" when password contains UPPERCASE letters)

2018-02-19 Thread suokunlong
I did further investigation。 The reason is that, when using
Nvdia-340.104 driver, I am not able to type any UPPERCASE letters using
the CapsLk key. I discovered this when I click the "Not listed?" link
and then type letters in the username input field. All appercase letters
are accepted as lowercase only.

A workaround is to user Shift+[a-z] keys to type in uppercase letters.

2018-02-19 Thread suokunlong
My passwords are all english and 0-9 combinations.

Works OK when the password contains no UPPERCASE latters.
Does not work when the password contains at least one UPPERCASE letter.

+ Unable to login when using Nvdia-340.104 driver ("password is incorrect" when

[Bug 1310174] Re: cryptsetup should be included and installed by default in ubuntu 14.04

2014-04-21 Thread suokunlong
Steve Langasek (vorlon) wrote on 2014-04-20:#2

Cryptsetup was never installed by default in Ubuntu; it was only
installed if you selected encryption in the installer.

I never explicitly installed cryptsetup during my previous ubuntu
versions (and I did not choose encrypt option), but I always could
unlock my luks device. I will check this for 13.10 in a vbox later.

However, even if cryptsetup is not installed by default, in nautiles
when it do not find cryptsetup it should give some useful infomation
(e.g., cryptsetup is not installed in your system, please install...,
or just ask the user whether he would like to install it), rather than
giving the useless error message.

however, you say this was an upgrade, and it also should not have been
removed on upgrade. Please attach your upgrade logs from /var/log/apt
/dist-upgrade.

By saying UPGRADE, I mean remove Ubuntu 13.10 and install 14.04, so no
logs.

[Bug 1310174] [NEW] cryptsetup should be included and installed by default in ubuntu 14.04

2014-04-19 Thread suokunlong
Public bug reported:

After upgrade from ubuntu 13.10 to 14.04 lts, I am unable to ulock my
luks device. It gives the following error message:

Error unlocking /dev/sda6: Error spawning command-line `cryptsetup
luksOpen /dev/sda6 luks-9082ff43-d991-4bf1-8bb6-ef8452e3e11a ':
Failed to execute child process cryptsetup (No such file or directory)
(g-exec-error-quark, 8)

Then I noticed that the package cryptsetup was not installed in my
system.

cryptsetup should be included and installed as default in ubuntu 14.04
lts, as it was in the previous releases.

[Bug 1112337] Re: evince is segfaulting on loading a PDF (xerox documentation)

2014-01-25 Thread suokunlong
Confirm in Ubuntu 13.10 x86, Evince 3.10.0.

Evince SEGMENTATION FAULT when opening any of the attached PDFs. When start
from terminal I got the following:
(evince:6572): EvinceDocument-CRITICAL **: ev_document_get_n_pages: assertion
'EV_IS_DOCUMENT (document)' failed
SEGMENTATION FAULT (Core Dumped)

What I can be sure is that all the attached PDF are created by Xerox
WorkCentre Pro 275, can be open OK with Adobe Reader in Windows, and
also open OK with MuPDF in Ubuntu 13.10 x86.
