[Bug 1969959] Re: [nouveau][amdgpu] Weird colors after startup (Ubuntu 22.04)
@Daniel - I understand how to troubleshoot things and your steps seems very valid, but I don't have any discrete AMD card right here to test. Also - AMD Ryzen CPUs are not equipped with builtin GPU :) Whole case is about the installation process is simply impossible to be accomplished for 99% of the users. Screen get yellow-green when you click any of the available options in the installer, "live" or "install". [Bug 1969959] Re: [nouveau][amdgpu] Weird colors after startup (Ubuntu 22.04)
@Daniel - I wish I could but how I can do that, when the screen is totally unreadable (click blindly around especially on 4K display? ;) ) and this is just live USB drive before any installation happening? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1969959 Title: [nouveau][amdgpu] Weird colors after startup (Ubuntu 22.04) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1969959/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1969959] Re: [nouveau][amdgpu] Weird colors after startup (Ubuntu 22.04)
Same here - Nvidia 3060 Ti on AMD X570 platform Panasonic 4K TV via HDMI cable. While welcome screen is fine - the one with "Install" or "try ubuntu", then the screen blink for a while then return with fluo-green-yellow colorset. It is hard to read anything. Re-inserting HDMI cable to force reset the link has no effect.
[Bug 534906] Re: Import/export of Contact
@Sebastian: I'll give you example - Gadu Gadu. It stores contacts on server, but Empathy is unable to import them anyway automagically and there is no such option anywhere. Pidgin does it, so why Empathy can't ? -- Import/export of Contact https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/534906 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 518751] [NEW] netinstall and package dependencies problem
Public bug reported: I'm having problem getting clean netinstall of Ubuntu 8.04 or 9.10 Server. I'm doing PXE boot and it is working fine. Everything goes ok until tasksel. I can't do any offline boot method on this particular machine - no floppy, no cd, no usb booting possible. After selecting nothing or OpenSSH server I can't get mostly- minimal install because language-pack-gnome-en is being installed at some point causing a lot of unnecessary packages being installed as dependencies (like openoffice.org, parts of x.org, whole bunch of gnome related stuff and multimediamedia related stuff too - over 120 MB of packages, 120-130 pieces). What I have tried: - different apt mirror - different http proxy - different Ubuntu versions (8.04 and 9.10) - messing around with aptitude (Manual package selection) during tasksel and forcibly deselecting language-pack-gnome-* packages, which doesn't do anything, they are installed anyway. Steps required to reproduce: - do a PXE boot netinstall of 8.04 or 9.10 - use pl.archive.ubuntu.com or de.archive.ubuntu.com as repositories, and use any kind of http proxy to connect to them. - during tasksel phase select nothing or OpenSSH Server - wait - note the moment where language-pack-gnome-en being installed and how much dependencies it will cause. I tried offline (usb,cd) installs of both editions on different machine and those are working as expected. I'm ending up with very clean base system without unnecessary packages not needed usually on server. ** Affects: yelp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- netinstall and package dependencies problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/518751 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to yelp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
