[Bug 209513] Re: After upgrade, Update standard folders to current language threatens to rename your home folder

2013-03-26 Thread trusktr
This just happened to me after rebooting. The dialog asks me to change
/home/trusktr to /home/trusktr/Templates.

Before reboot, I had deleted the Templates folder because it was empty.
I guess it noticed, and I proceeded with it's suggestion, which re-
created the Templates folder. You will probably get a similar message if
you delete Pictures, Videos, Downloads, etc.

[Bug 561734] Re: quadrapassel doesn't start: Failed to initialise clutter: Unable to select the newly created GLX context

2011-04-24 Thread trusktr
Hey All, Removing nomodeset from my kernel boot line (in Arch Linux
that's in /boot/grub/menu.lst) fixed this issue for me.

[Bug 413360] Re: Pango text select with double click stops at underscore.

2010-10-21 Thread trusktr
What i was mentioning above, a simple fix is to make the plugin store
it's settings in gconf for the user.

[Bug 413360] Re: Pango text select with double click stops at underscore.

2010-10-20 Thread trusktr
thank you thank you thank you thank you!!! Nice plugin.

It took me a little while to get it right though because i had to learn
regular expressions. :D

Also, i put the plugin in the /usr/lib/gedit-2/plugins/ folder so when i
made changes, they'd work, but if i quit gedit and restart, none of the
settings would be saved since ROOT privileges were required. So in order
to set up the settings, i opened gedit as admin and set up my config so
i could get underscores included with double click. Then, when opening
the gedit as normal user the settings are there.

Perhaps add a feature to detect the need for root password so gnome can
ask for the root password and save it for the session.

Oh yeah, one more thing. This should be filed as a bug/request for
Gedit, not Ubuntu. Ubuntu doesn't *make* Gedit. It's part of the Gnome
desktop. ;)

[Bug 660877] Re: The top GNOME panel in Ubuntu 10.10 does not display correctly

2010-10-19 Thread trusktr
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 439448 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/439448

Hello. This is not an ubuntu specific bug. This happens with compiz and
gnome panel in general no matter what distro you have.

I have the same bug in Arch Linux and, although it looks ugly, it's
harmless. To re-fresh the panel (redraw it) i just right click, go to
properties, change the size by one pixel, let it refresh, then change it
back one pixel, and it's good.

I hope this get fixed!

[Bug 439448] Re: Visual corruption affecting several panel applets

2010-10-19 Thread trusktr
I have this problem too. It seems to be a general bug with compiz/gome-
panel, not distro specific.

I have a quick fix. When it happens, right click the panel, click
properties, then change the size by one pixel, then change it back
after it refreshes. A fix would be nice though.

Here's screenshots of my panel to verify that it's the same glitch:

[Bug 127617] Re: GNOME Power Manager installation problem

2010-05-26 Thread trusktr
I'm also having this problem in Arch Linux!

I get to the login screen and the login box in the middle is there, but
the background is black and that error pops up at the bottom like for
most everyone above.

If attempt to log in, it simply returns to the screen with the same
message. :(

What in the world is going on?

The last thing i did was install Cube2: sabeareuten and i was able to
play it without rebooting, then on next boot the error appeared!
