[Bug 103634] Re: [apport] rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in g_type_check_instance_is_a() when I start playing a song with edirol UA-25 USB sound device
I tried it with, valgrind. It runs very slow (choppy audio), but it doesn't crash somehow! After running with valgrind I tried it without, and rhytmbox _does_ crash. By the way; when I run rhythmbox in the console, I get this output: ALSA lib confmisc.c:670:(snd_func_card_driver) cannot find card '0' ALSA lib conf.c:3500:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_card_driver returned error: No such device ALSA lib confmisc.c:391:(snd_func_concat) error evaluating strings ALSA lib conf.c:3500:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_concat returned error: No such device ALSA lib confmisc.c:1070:(snd_func_refer) error evaluating name ALSA lib conf.c:3500:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_refer returned error: No such device ALSA lib conf.c:3968:(snd_config_expand) Evaluate error: No such device ALSA lib pcm.c:2145:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM default ** Attachment added: valgrind-logs-rhythmbox.tar.gz http://librarian.launchpad.net/7212574/valgrind-logs-rhythmbox.tar.gz -- [apport] rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in g_type_check_instance_is_a() when I start playing a song with edirol UA-25 USB sound device https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103634 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Thanks for your bug report. The crash looks like a memory corruption. Could you try to get a valgrind log for it (you can follow the instructions from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind for that)? ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed = Needs Info -- [apport] rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in g_type_check_instance_is_a() when I start playing a song with edirol UA-25 USB sound device https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103634 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
