We don't install and use gnome-volume-manager by default any more.
nautilus now has a dynamic system which doesn't hardcode the apps any
more.

Just right click on the file you want to opnen goto properties-->open
with-->change to preferred player

Unfortunately gconf does not support this, but g-v-m could maintain this
in a list of fallback programs. For now you need to change it in System
-> Preferences -> Removable media (or similar, I only have a German
translation here)
