Do you have gtk-qt-engine installed? [Bug 108235] Re: [apport] restricted-manager crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_icon_set_render_icon()
Followed your instructions - however I am unsure if this really helps you. As a normal user (on the command line) it said that I am not part of the admin group. As root user it just segfaulted leaving me puzzled as what is wrong with my system :-( Did NOT try it without X. Will do that later. System is somewhat productive. I added .root to one of the logs stating this one was done as root. Cheers and thanks for debugging, Ruediger ** Attachment added: Valgrind reports http://launchpadlibrarian.net/8155889/valgrind-logs-restricted-manager.tar.gz -- [apport] restricted-manager crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_icon_set_render_icon() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108235 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Thanks for your bug report. Could you try to get a valgrind log for the crash (you can follow the instructions on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind)? ** Changed in: gtk+2.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs Status: Unconfirmed = Needs Info -- [apport] restricted-manager crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_icon_set_render_icon() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108235 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
