Public bug reported: Evolution 3.6.0 which is installed on quantal is a real pain in the ass. I constantly have to kill -9 the process to use it again, and the multiple signatures bug is just annoying.
Now I downloaded the 3.6.2 versions of libebackend-1.2-5 libebook-1.2-14 libedataserverui-3.0-4 libedataserver-1.2-17 libecal-1.2-15 libevolution libcamel-1.2-40 evolution-data-server-common evolution-data-server evolution-common evolution-plugins-experimental evolution-plugins and of course: evolution (and also libxml2 2.9.0) from the raring repositories and installed it with dpkg -i *.deb. Now my evolution works like a charm and it didn't break any dependencies. It wouldn't hurt backporting these packages to quantal, so all quantal user would have a working evolution again. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1087279 Title: Backport evolution-3.6.2 from raring to quantal To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/1087279/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
