I have the same problem with the Ubuntu 7.10 using the Terminal Emulator GNOME 2.18.2. The terminal worked fine for some weeks. The change occurred without any evident reason. I tried to re-install the software and to modify any possible option allowed to the user through the mouse. I've found this too, on 7.04 (upgraded from Edgy, upgraded from Dapper), using beryl.
