Re: [Bug 123819] Re: panel problem with dual head on feisty latest
Good news! The persistence overwriting problems seems to be fixed in gutsy tribe5. Only bad news is that firefox seems to crash when run from display :0.1 which is odd because it works fine when run from :0.0 and other programs work fine when run from :0.1 so it appears to just be a firefox problem. I may or may not file a bug in gutsy against this. I was bummed to see that the displayconfig-gtk in gutsy still doesn't support this type of configuration - it looks like they currently only support multiple displays using xinerama - although I see grayed out options for rotation so maybe it is work in progress. - BullCreek [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I'll try tribe-5 next week when I get a spare moment. [Bug 123819] Re: panel problem with dual head on feisty latest
All three stored values (Name, Command, Comment) seem to be improperly handled. I changed them as follows in order: Display :0.0 Name: Firefox Left Command: firefox -P left %u Comment: Browse the World Wide Web Left Display :0.1 Name: Firefox Right Command: firefox -P default %u Comment: Browse the World Wide Web Right Then, I logged out and logged back in - and the last values for Display :0.1 had overwritten all three values for Display :0.0, i.e. Display :0.0 is now as follows: Name: Firefox Right Command: firefox -P default %u Comment: Browse the World Wide Web Right Hope this helps! Let me know if I can do anything else to test. -- panel problem with dual head on feisty latest https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/123819 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Thank you for your bug. What command is overwritten? Does it change the name, comment, icon of the launcher? ** Changed in: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs Status: New = Incomplete -- panel problem with dual head on feisty latest https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/123819 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
