[Bug 1251087] Re: apps whose .desktop contain "NoDisplay=true" will not show up in Details> Default applications
re:mpv, my mistake, it needs more than just dropping NoDisplay=true in show up under Videos & Music though the drop is needed. (- was able to get it to show in both by adding to mpv source > /debian/mime audio/x-vorbis+ogg; mpv %s; description="Ogg Stream" video/x-ogm+ogg; mpv %s; description="Ogg Stream"; Also added both ^ to the .desktop (along with a few more it could use. [Bug 1251087] Re: apps whose .desktop contain "NoDisplay=true" will not show up in Details> Default applications
Indeed there might still be an issue here, mpv is not listed, but it's not recommanded in "gvfs-mime --query video/x-ogm+ogg" either so it might be a different reason. Note that the nautilus properties page lists "mpv" so the original GTK bug was resolved, seems like there is another similar one issue with the combo widget used in the settings -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1251087 Title: apps whose .desktop contain "NoDisplay=true" will not show up in Details> Default applications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1251087/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1251087] Re: apps whose .desktop contain "NoDisplay=true" will not show up in Details> Default applications
Well I filed a bug as you asked, it was duped to the first bug I mentioned. When I actually went to that bug I saw it was a dupe itself of the 2nd bug mentioned. In any case shotwell (shotwell viewer) is vnot seen in Details in 14.04 Also the same for a new package "mpv" In both cases is NoDisplay=true is removed or changed to false then they show up screen of 14.04 as far as shotwell ** Attachment added: "Screenshot from 2013-11-18 10:37:11.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1251087/+attachment/3911791/+files/Screenshot%20from%202013-11-18%2010%3A37%3A11.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1251087 Title: apps whose .desktop contain "NoDisplay=true" will not show up in Details> Default applications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1251087/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
