[Bug 127553] Re: [gutsy] rhythmbox doesn't play wma files

2008-01-15 Thread Benjamin Bach
I can't play WMA with crossfading enabled and that's absolutely
persistent.

1) Play a WMA file without crossfading enabled. It works, right?
2) Enable crossfading. Restart Rhythmbox.
3) Play a WMA file. Now it doesn't play, but other files work.

Can others confirm? Possibly re-open this bug and let's see what we can
find out..

[Bug 127553] Re: [gutsy] rhythmbox doesn't play wma files

2007-07-29 Thread Georg Duffner
i can't reproduce the error any longer, for after purging rhythmbox and
reinstalling it, it plays wma-files correctly. i don't know if this is
due to purging rhythmbox or if there has been an update. please could
anybody tell me how to mark this bug now?

Could you run rhythmbox -d and note if there is an error listed when
you try to read it? Do you use the crossfading option?

Does playing the file with gst-launch-0.10 playbin

This works for me, I can play WMA just fine with Rhythmbox. Are you sure
you have gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg?

played one single wma file, and after restarting rhythmbox it wouldn't
any more.

2007-07-22 Thread xtknight
Are you trying to play a WMA3 file? Please attempt to play it from
mplayer -v and attach the log.

mplayer -v /home/user/Desktop/file/i-want-to-play.wma

I don't believe ffmpeg supports decoding WMA3.

as i wrote in my initial report, i can play it with totem, so ffmpeg is
