I can confirm this bug and the solution posted above. Hello, after upgraded my system and removed all my old ubuntustudio packages , I also created a user. Now it works. Marking this as confirmed as this has also happened to me after the latest batch of updates. A work-around for me was to copy /usr/share/ubuntustudio- menu/applications.menu into my .config/menus directory.
